Hi all, new to the forum, but I have been lurking for some time. I previously owned a 350z touring in '05 and sold it. I have been longing to return ever since. I just purchased a 2015 touring with 153 miles on it. The only thing I disliked about the 350 was the clutch. It didnt release until almost to the top of the travel and the transition band was extremely narrow. I immediately put nismo suspension on it and opted to replace the clutch pedal with rjm performance. Like so many have said here in this thread, it is like a completely new car. No more jerking from a stop. You can adjust this pedal in every direction. I now have a wide transition band right in the middle of the travel and it is SUPER easy to shift. This mod has made more positive difference to the car per dollar spent than probably any mod I have ever put on any car I have owned! Great work Ryan!!

Biomanghs, Thank you for posting your experience with my product:tup: Reading reviews and comments from happy customers such as yourself is always a great pleasure and truly makes the hard work & long hours that go into hand fabricating each and every one of these units well worth it.

Happy Holidays!

YzGyz, I'm happy to hear you had a successful install and are enjoying the new pedal assembly on your DD  Also excellent work on going the extra mile to make an install overview video to help fellow owners who may be apprehensive about installing one themselves:driving:

NEWLY Revised REV 3.0 Version just finished development - Begins Shipping December 28th 2015! New Improved Design allows for Faster & Easier Installation + Faster Tuning with some newly added features.

- New Rev 3 Units come with the upper pedal arm, main bearings and return spring all greased & pre-assembled ready for installation onto the firewall as a completed unit vs Rev2 where the bracket, pedal arm, bearings, grease and spring shipped separately for assembly under the dash as part of the install process... All of that work is now eliminated with this version.

- New Rev 3 units have a revised AFP adjuster mechanism that easily adjusts in seconds with just one tool.

- New direct viewing window and pointer to show AFP Setup Point 0.25.50.75,100%

- New AFP mechanism comes pre-set to the correct starting point so there is very little initial setup involved... Bolt the bracket in, connect the linkage with a clevis pin, setup switches to make contact and go test drive.

- New Quick Adjust upper switch mount allows the upper switch to be adjusted with a single Allen key in seconds for perfect setup.

Looking to purchase this but what proof do you have to back up your claims "Reduces or Eliminates the Concentric Slave Cylinder failures that are so common on these cars." on your website.

Would this potentially conflict with the zspeed hd csc or z1 csc elimination kit? can they be combined?

They will work fine together.

xdragus,
Absolutely they work together no problem. I would personally recommend the HD CSC though as it's a very high quality piece and combined with the RJM pedal it'd be a bullet proof setup. For me the Z1 kit is overly complicated, requires a lot of extra work to install and addresses the same problem the HD CSC does but at a much higher installed cost.

For the proof of the "Reduces or Eliminates the CSC failures" this has been discussed about 4 times in this thread already above but the basics of it is this. The primary cause of OEM CSC failures is over stroking the internal piston and blowing out the weak seals. This happens because the OEM pedal/CMC pushes too much fluid to the CSC which coincidentally also causes the very high pedal engagement and huge dead space at the bottom of the pedal. The RJM pedal thru manipulation of the pedal geometry reduces the excess stroking which isn't needed for complete disengagement. This saves the seals from all the extra wear pointlessly stroking back/forth and because the CSC is no longer being forced to the very end of it's travel every time you fully depress the clutch it reduces or eliminates the seal blow-outs that lead to catastrophic CSC failure. As well with the RJM pedal you'd see longer service life from the HD CSC or the Z1 Kit for the same reason that you're not stroking the seals excessively on every shift and increasing seal life.

Hope that helps explain things.

Best Regards,
Ryan@RJM

Ryan, I finally placed my order! Can't wait to feel the difference with this mod. Even if I have to relearn how to shift the car after making due with the current setup for 5+ years it should be worth the wait.

Swindler 03-08-2016 05:36 AM

Just placed an order for this after reading through all 27 pages and everything on the RJM website. Can't wait, super excited for sure! I removed the clutch helper spring over a year ago and it was a huge improvement. However it is still tricky with that high engagement point. I hope this new pedal will be as good as it sounds, very excited.:D

it will be!

I ordered one a couple weeks ago, super excited for it to get here!

Ryan, are there any updates on when the units will be available? I believe the site said 3/7, just wanted to see if we're still on track  I was #9 of 25 IIRC.
