Well I'm with him.. I also don't know the difference:icon08:

1-way: Connects the wheels together only when you are pressing the gas. If you are off the gas they can move at different speeds.

1.5-way: Connects the wheels when you press the gas, but allows more difference in wheel speeds when you aren't pressing the gas. Hence the 1.5 way, connects when on the gas, connects partially when off. This is my personal reccomendation as it always has the wheels connected, but allows them to move more when off the gas so you can get a sharper turn in.

2-way: Connects the wheels when both on and off the gas. Some people like these but i think they create a little too much understeer. if you have a good suspension you can compensate, but you need good car control skills too to keep it under control.

(I'm lazy, so this is a copy paste)

I think so, other people might think different.
If you want to drift 2 is the way to go.

im not really into the drifting scene.... i want to jus autocross my z.... or maybe take her to the quarter mile.... im not a hardcore track guy so i take her to the track only when i feel like it which is pretty rare... plus i feel bad when i abuse her lmao..... im to much of a pussy to break something when i race.... would the 1.5 be good also for those applications though? quarter mile and autocross?

Xan 02-18-2010 06:54 PM

Yes, 1.5 would be the way to go.

And from what I've heard of the Carbonetic LSD, it's a great one.

simota1 02-18-2010 06:55 PM

aiight thanks xan :D id rep u again if i could thanks for ur help

corner3garage 02-22-2010 02:37 AM

Yep you guys Explained it well! 1 way is only on acceleration, 1.5 way is full lock on acceleration and half on off throttle, and 2 way is full lock on acceleration and deceleration. Thanks guys Pm's replied!

corner3garage 03-03-2010 10:40 AM

Ready to ship~!

shumby 03-03-2010 10:48 AM

what is the HP/TQ rating for this?

corner3garage 03-03-2010 12:13 PM

Im pretty sure you will blow your axles before you blow the diff. These diff's have been used by time attack, drift and other types of motorsports. Autotech Tsukada gtr is pushing a lot of hp 500+ and is fine.

shumby 03-03-2010 12:24 PM

cool just looking for a posiable replacement for the stock one after i get my SC installed. But i think the stock one will handel it.

corner3garage 03-23-2010 03:35 PM
