B&M Short Shifter

Corner3 Garage is now offering the B&M short shifter for the 370z and g37 applications.

This short shifter reduces the shift by 33% and is made of high quality materials consisting of minimal plastic components compared to some other competitors. It is a fully isolated design and is much beefier than many other short shifters.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

SilverBullet 12-26-2009 12:04 AM

How much do you charge for install?

motoextreme 12-26-2009 01:02 AM

Anyone put one of these in and happy with it? I'd be interested in the quote with install too if available. I put one in my old 996TT and it was a pain in the a$$, would rather just have it done.

Thx

Aside from ripping the factory shifter off the install is a breeze.

I like how it gets rid of most of the slop from the factory shifter, but I think the throw is too short.

motoextreme 12-26-2009 09:31 AM

Never mind on the PM, I think I may go with the Nismo for some adjustability. Thanks though.

corner3garage 12-28-2009 12:04 PM

We can also get the nismo shifter

corner3garage 12-28-2009 12:09 PM

Price on short shifter install will be varying, depending on difficulty of shifter, no more than 1 hour($85). This is referencing from an AMS shifter that we recently installed.

vipor 12-28-2009 12:09 PM

not to derail, but i've never seen the Nismo short shifter... the adjustability the only real diff? what can you adj?

The adjustable shifters let you raise or lower the shifter shaft for a longer or shorter throw.

ah, makes sense :tiphat:

SilverBullet 12-28-2009 01:04 PM

Will it fit the G37.

vipor 12-28-2009 01:14 PM

yessir it will

SilverBullet 12-28-2009 01:15 PM

Why would you want to increase the shift.

vipor 12-28-2009 01:16 PM

increase over the smallest through. even at the highest setting it is probably still a shortER throw than stock

SilverBullet 12-28-2009 01:20 PM

No I understand that. I phrased it wrong. Why would you want to make it longer with the nismo?

It gives you a variety of heights to find the one that's most comfortable for you. Even at factory height a short shifter will improve feel because it eliminates the slop in the factory shifter.

I also believe that this transmission doesn't really benefit from a significantly shorter throw because it doesn't like really quick shifts.

The transmission does not like super short shifts, but getting rid of the sloppy/rubbery stock shifter was my goal. I do not really ever attempt to shift super fast even when running through gears quickly.

Thanks for the deal today guys...Nismo shifter on its way. I was going to stop on the mods for a while but I wanted a little less throw so hopefully this works out.

Appreciate the Customer Service, very cool.

corner3garage 03-26-2010 03:00 PM

We have found that the Nismo is Actually the exact same as an AMS shifter, since we do not know which one is the copy we have decided to sell only the AMS since it is of the same quality at a better price.
