New Battery - which brand??

optima batteries are dry cell type. which means they last longer than regular batteries. I dont mind paying extra 100 bucks for battery that is going to last longer. PS:

PS: My 370z OEM battery died on me 2 weeks ago, jump start then i went to advanced auto part store and got me an optima red battery. My previous car (350z) had an optima yellow, never had a problem with the battery. Had that battery for 6.5 years and during winter time i never had problem with start the car (last winter temp went down to -20F)

sorry for my grammar!!

That or a gold.
I worked for AZ for 9 years - the golds have the least issues out of any battery.

True story -
Customer comes in and asked me to check his battery.
I walk out to the truck and inspect - battery is 16 years old. one of our old golds.

I tested it - it came back bad.
He says "thanks for the test!"
He then jumps back in his truck, starts it up, and drives off.

Do with that information what you will.

I recently changed my battery for my DD and Z (and started another thread on this forum), and changed both to Duralast Gold. I was debating between the AGM and Gold, but based on limited research, I found that the Gold was the way to go, IMO.

If you also type in your vehicle information on AZ's website, it will give you the battery information, although I'm now wondering if I should have went with group 24F instead of 35 because of the CCA/CA.

Ahhh - I have been looking the same thing - from what I have found...
AGM lasts longer if the car is used infrequently (mine is stored from Nov-Apr)
Gold will sulfate more if charge is run down

In Pennsylvania seems AGM is the way to go

My car is driven once a week, sometimes once every other week, but then again I’m in FL.

Yes and thank you. Maybe it’s a placebo effect, but I feel like the 24F had more “oomph” when starting the car.
