Ok guys. I just finished installing one of my UAM vented fenders and it was pretty straight forward (thanks to this write-up).

The only thing different, I didn't remove the bumper or the headlights. I just removed the bolt that holds the bumper to the fender and pulled it back a little bit to gain access to the fender bolts that are below the headlight. I then removed the rear top bolt by the door instead of just loosening it like stated. This allowed me to pull the fender out from the rear. This way the fender at the front came off of the headlight without removing it. It saved a couple of steps. Now....the side skirt was another story. The clips are on there tight. I left the clips off when I reinstalled due to the fact I'm replacing them in about 3 weeks with some BSD skirts. Also, you can remove side turn signal before removing fender. It pops out very easily with a small flat head screw driver. It fits carefully between the light and the fender on both sides. Came right out...

Dont judge my horrible stance people still adjusting my coilovers. New wheels are also on the way....so this is just to display the fenders haha

I will post better pics soon.

Im also going to get a couple pics when my front wheels are off again of how I cut the rear half of the fender liner. I could not make myself leave it out. I made kind of a cut that looks like this [ (that would be the driver side).

NICE! I wonder what these fenders would look like color matched all the way, no black

Mr&Mrs 11-11-2012 04:13 PM

Im sure they would look just as sexy. I bet someone could do a quick Photoshop of that real quick.

Martin what wing do you have? Fenders look great!

Edit: I think it is the Nismo wing but it looks different without anything else Nismo.

Vichtz 11-12-2012 08:20 AM

you guys! your cars look great! for real!

Mr&Mrs 11-12-2012 08:24 AM

Thanks! I hope to have some pro shots taken by the end of the year once this phase of mods are complete.

martin82 11-12-2012 12:54 PM

sorry to jack your thread lol!. The wing is a seibon CF somewhat replica of the nismo.

Mr&Mrs, does your front mud guard scrape at all? After a few high speed tests mine need to be clipped on better but my car is super low.

Mr&Mrs 11-12-2012 01:00 PM

Dont worry about going off course I started it! I thought it was the nismo but couldnt really tell.

In the pictures posted above they were rubbing the entire time I was driving. It was only 2" or less off of the gound though. Im at 3.5" right now and they are about 1/2-1" off of the ground and only scrape when I hit a bump.
