DIY: Replace dreaded steering-lock on 2009s and early 2010s.

sucks. did you try tapping at the lock itself? should really give that a try and permanently disable it once it turns on momentarily. (see a few posts up) if you car's out of warranty you could be footing the bill which can cost well north of $800 all together... yikes.

Hey Ken,

Yea, at this point I have tried just about everything. (disconnecting the battery, getting my back up key, tapping, kicking, biting) you name it. Looks like I'll be holding off on Christmas gifts for family this year. Thanks for the response man!
