If you lined the splines up with the reference mark it's the same alignment as it was when you removed it. Steering feed back while driving is your alignment not steering wheel.

:tiphat:Rob --- Just put my wheel on and i love it.. You made it so easy.. Shout out to Kelly for directing me from thousands of miles away. :driving:

Here is what may be the 'straight' issue. I did not use my original wheel, but another one that was used by the guy who made my new wheel. I think that the scribe marks may have been put on after the steering wheels were put on at the factory and hence are unique to each car. I put my new wheel on again and despite the fact that the lines are slightly unaligned, the wheel now seems straight... The horn is still not working though!

Very straight forward! Thanks for the writeup!

Just a heads up. If you are having problems with the screws stripping out you need to try EzGrip. On any fastener or screw/bolt that im having trouble getting out i use this stuff.

Im an Aircraft Mechanic by trade and i use EzGrip daily. Just a little goes a long way. Take a look, well worth the investment and it keeps forever if you dont use it right away.

EzGrip :: screw extraction, friction drops, screw removal

Volusia, where did you get that shift knob for your auto. Does it use the safety switch, or how did you get around that issue?

Thanks, mods look sweet.

Nice wheel man! Who did the rest of your interior red stitching?

Dragon_Ball_Z 11-03-2015 09:02 PM

Hey guys, does anyone know how to remove the steering wheel controls?

TerribleONE 11-17-2015 03:26 PM

Worked on my wheel last night and almost finished up but decided to go buy some new T30 screws since mine got pretty beat taking them out. Ran over to Nissan at lunch and picked up two new ones and went home to throw them in real quick. Left side went in with no drama, go to do the right side and sure enough I drop the damn thing down into the plastic part surrounding the wheel while trying to get it to start threading  guess its all coming apart again.

Need help. One of the 2 tamper torx screw is stripped. I tried using an extractor with no luck. Tried using EZ Grip like suggested, no luck. The T30 bit just spins. Any suggestions>?
