I want to do this, just don't know how it would look on red... Contemplating blacking out the head/tail lights as well. Worried about it chipping off too. I just

I want to do this, just don't know how it would look on red... Contemplating blacking out the head/tail lights as well. Worried about it chipping off too. I just wouldn't want to put all this time and effort into painting rims just to have the paint chip and look awful.

Same here. My pontiac rims were a chore. A pro painter close by is going to do mine if he keeps a tight schedule. REP for you and the pictures + Prep work. Keep going!

useing index cards isn't a bad idea.. i just sprayed my winter set white.. took forever to mask off the tires with newspaper. but i also sprayed the inside, it looks more complete. i couldn't get my girl to go near my wheels... she's jealous of the z. but i did talk her into painted my center caps lol. alil arts n crafts time

i havent drove the Z in six months because im deployed but.. they were still in great condition when i left no chips cracks, still lok as good as they did the 1st day..if youtake your time and follow my steps you shouldnt have any problems

I came across this place on ebay that does a swap for "PVD Chrome" It almost looks black when they do it. Anyone familiar with that? I wonder how durable it is?

Those came out good I am goona use you diy to do mine. How did you keep the center cap clean did you pop those out or just tape over them?
