Went and gave it another shot and was able to get it off. Pretty sure your directions are wrong though, the tab should be pulled down slightly... or at least

Went and gave it another shot and was able to get it off. Pretty sure your directions are wrong though, the tab should be pulled down slightly... or at least thats what it seemed like I did when it finally came off.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant pull up on the tab meaning towards you, like a soda can. At the same time you're pulling on the tab, you should be pushing up on the mirror. I said gently because you don't want to crack windshield glass when trying to get it off.
