I never had to remove the rivets. After lowering the regulator to unscrew and release the window glass, you have to raise it back up a bit so the assembly

I never had to remove the rivets. After lowering the regulator to unscrew and release the window glass, you have to raise it back up a bit so the assembly is no longer behind the inner door structure. The whole thing pops right out after that.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm also going to replace the driver side actuator that controls the locking/unlocking....so it looks like after lowering the regulator, unscrewing it, release the glass, raising it up again, ..that should give me access to the door actuator as well - hopefully, without drilling out the rivets.
