Thanks SouthArk. I spent a good hour looking at pics at Courtesy Parts, concentrating the ones to do with tubing and wiring. No luck so far. Unfortunately, I have a, shall we say, less than amicable relationship with the local dealership after they refused to cover these repairs under warranty, which was why I was forced to take it to the mechanic that I did.

I'm hoping one of the DIYers here will have come across it in their work and recognize it. Because you can't tell from the pic, it's about an inch and a half to two inches long, and maybe three quarters to an inch wide at the fat part. It has arrows pointing forward on the fatter part and has the letters >PA66< on top. I researched that some, but it looks like it refers to the type of plastic it's made of, rather than any kind of a part number.

I am pretty sure it is a fuel line safety clip.

Way I was leaning too. Looks exactly like the safety clip that hold the fuel line on the fuel canister in the tank.
