Help please

Hello everyone, fist time posting here.... I have the new Nismo and I want to install a light in the doors but I want to know if I can connect them to the window system that makes the windows go down when the door opens and up when you close the door since I only want the light to come on when the door is open, or if I need to run the wire into the car and connect it to the door sensor. if you have any links or info I would really appreciate it.. thanks in advance..

You can check out this thread, it's a guide to installing the illuminated kick plates that lights up when the door is opened, maybe use the same power source they used.
