Especially since wax only touches the clear coat, which is the same no matter which color car you bought.

All I know I learned from the Junkman, and his feelings on "color-specific" waxes are pretty clear.

I WAS skeptical about Junkman's and others opinion about 'black ice shine' (or whatever else they package) waxes. Long story short, looking throughout the web you will find the consensus is that most of these black wax/white wax, whatever specific prouduct wax is all the same. Gimmicks.

Now you already pulled the trigger so unless you want to return it you might as well use it. I would also hazzerd a guess and try another reputable product's general line and compare the results. If you can't tell the difference go with the cheaper product. If you can, go with the better results.

I use Meguiar's gold paste wax and I love the smell. I also notice it helped make the car look 'deeper' in colour than prior to application. That was also doing a clay, compound, polish then wax. I have also did that to my Dad's is350 that is also black and produced similiar results. It didn't make the car any more or less shiny (queue polish) but it definitely looks nicer.

Were you able to take advantage of one of their sales? They are constantly having special coupons for stuff

I don't personally have any experience with their black paint specific stuff but will be looking forward to hearing what are your impressions

All I use is CG products and I have had nothing but the best results with anything I have tried. I really like their natural finish interior cleaner out of everything that I get from them

il deff let you know how the car turns out, and yes chemical guys are always having sales. you get what you pay for , when it comes to the Z, i never cheap out. The reviews on this black paint maintenance kit was 5 stars. People use it on their Porsches, benz, audi. Its designed for dark colored cars, enhances the black gloss.
