Lol! The Free Ship Friday is rediculous. 500gsm at that price? Hell yes. And if anyone doesnt know, edgeless is the ONLY way to do. Thanks Junkman! Gonna try these out.

I was rolling with pakshaks mother of pearl, but it is real real light, TOO light. They claim 400gsm, but it isnt! If these are anything near 500...I am going to kick myself in the as for all the towels I have tried, at like $11-15 a pop.

The waffles are a steal as well! Thanks Junkman, buying 10 right now(free shipping over $50)? Where has this place been all my life?

Amazon has them for $33 for a 5-pack, free shipping with Amazon Prime.

The Rag Company's towels?

faceglide 03-04-2014 02:31 PM

DETAIL MASTER PRO 16" x 16" Eagle Edgeless Orange Professional Microfiber Detailing Towels (Pack of 5) : Amazon.com : Automotive

links are good. But the rag company is still cheaper and I will get hit with sales tax on amazon. But good option, same towel, 60 cents more, Junkman still has the deal. Free shipping friday? oh yes!

MacCool 03-05-2014 07:23 AM

Amazon sells them from the Rag Company. For me, shipping is free and no sales tax. It's just one click to order and I can be sure I won't get incessant "newsletters and flyers" . Worth the $3 to me.

They don't spam you after you purchase anything from them. I made my purchase weeks ago and only received a confirmation email of the sale. For pretty much everyone, going through them will be the smarter choice and bargain.

faceglide 03-05-2014 10:51 AM

Amazon is fine, it is a bi t more and great for those with PRIME, 60c a towel does add up when you go overboard like most of us detail junkies. Finding The Rag Company product on amazon is a great find, you are buying from the same source. But In my mind, that 60c becomes 6+dollars and thats a free towel at 9-10 towels.

You are supporting the same company, so all good brotha! Prime members should hop on that!

I almost get taxed on everything in California, best weather, worst laws =/.

Time will tell. Never seen an internet reseller yet that had my email address and was able to resist using it or selling it indefinitely. I'm already out there on Amazon Prime. No sense spreading my credit card info around any more than necessary, even to save $.60 per towel.

AJ, it's a great find. Thank you very much for the tip. Very cost effective for purchasing quality detailing towels at a great price.

I guess I'm the only one that finds these pricey

You have to compare apples to apples. They are expensive relative to **** towels from vatozone. They're cheap compared to some high quality alternatives from adams.

Ubetit 03-05-2014 12:09 PM

^ I have plenty of high quality 500+ gram towels that were half the price of those.

Yea, I want to know where you got them from and at what cost too. I find that EXTREMELY hard to believe. I definitely want to see this information if true.

Just Amazon spam and them tracking your habits and selling it. :) No big!

That, however, is decent sense. Although if you can shop directly at a smaller shop and use paypal to check out...that's even better.

Ad-tracking and selling the info. They all do it. It's part of the package that their web developer sells them.

But you're glossing over that word "Unsubscribe". Also, you don't HAVE to enter their contest or promotions so you are the one who controls what you receive. Opt out and you are spam free.

Why should I have to unsubscribe to something I never subscribed to in the first place?

Actually, what I'm glossing over is the part where, even when you scrupulously DON'T check the "I want your spam" box at checkout, they send it to you anyway. Then later, you get the opportunity to "unsubscribe" for a little while. You know very well that they do not throw your email address away. What you are glossing over is the ad-tracking that they sell. That targeted stuff that comes up in the right-hand pane on Facebook, etc. That's where that stuff comes from.

Harbor Freight towels FTW :icon17:

I ordered some. Track away. Big brother can fly his drones over my house while I'm smilin' polishin' my ride. Hell, I may even shoot the moon at 'em. Then again, I'd probably start getting emails about toilet paper and anus bleaching. better not moon.

Great timing. You know, there is talk about drones probing Uranus.

That's right, I'm an adult and I just made a Uranus joke

Do we understand that while amazon is the storefront, the same company is selling these towels and will have the same access to whatever info you use to pay?

Anyhow, Waiting till "Pimpin' free Friday" to drop an order. Picking up 3 eagle and 2 of them waffles. You can literally not have enough towels.

If we have to explain the difference between a quality MF vs just a MF towel...well I will just be happy if you give your local detailer some business, the best possible mod for your car, is a quality detail(or a quality twin turbo kit!).

Good lookin out Junkman, I need to search your vid for more deals. I see you have some 3d/HD product back there, I go with them, they work, dont cost much, don't make ridiculous claims and have a simple enough product line. Made in USA and available at a local seller(support local small business people!) to boot!

Can I use these towels to wash the car, or just for removing the wax or polish?

Nice find Junkman

Lol...no, it doesn't work that way. Buy through Amazon and the seller doesn't have your email access. Not that it's great giving it to Amazon, but at least all your demographic data, email address, and credit card info doesn't get spread out over all the stores you buy from.

If Halle Barry wanted to give you some snatch, would you complain because she didn't shave her legs? :shakes head:

$.60 a towel doesn't exactly equate to Halle Berry, but the answer to your question is certainly "no".

I keep waiting for this dilemma, but it never happens. Are we assuming said "triangle de amor" isn't itself "plush" and doesn't need a hand test of its own? If Ms. Berry is out there, I would like to offer a dissertation worth of hand-cooter-leg testing - free of charge. I'm just that considerate.
