Scratches on Plastic Interior

Hi....

Is there a remedy for removing (of covering-up) scratches on the interior plastic pieces? Some of the scratches are the type that show 'white scratches'...I would describe them as scratches that look like they came from a friggen cat.

Thanks for any advice!!

I heard that heatgun works as long as you're careful. I haven't tried it myself.

White scratches? On a black dash? Could it be just light scuffs? Cant armor all interior wipes solve the problem. Theyre magical! Thats how i get all my shoe scuffs off from my sill plates, door jams, and door panels. It actually works on all surfaces. Even cleans shoe stains from fabric seats. I would suggest that. If theres any deep scratches or knicks on the i dont see a possible way to repair it back to normal. What part of the interior pieces are getting scratches anyways? Pics might helP maybe?? White scratches just sounds like easy wipe off scuffs to me

I guess 'scuffs' is the more appropriate term. I took a black sharpie and damp cloth to the scuffs and eliminated most of them.

Not sure if a black sharpie is the best thing to use for your interiror..

but use armor all wipes they really do work and they are meant for your car interior.

Yea they rly do work. Use armor all wipes. I use it on my suv's gray interior and it wipes the black shoe scuffs right off my door sills and doors. Even works on fabric seats. It doesnt leave an oily shiny finish to it which i like. It makes it looks more factory looking and untouched. Those things work. I wouldnt suggest you using a sharpie marker either. Theyre not 100% black either and it has this purplish navy hue when light is shining on it. Your dash color probably doesnt even match the sharpie. Stay away from sharpie!! It isnt a drawing board haha. Well try the wipes and good luck

Shoe polish also works. I used a little bit. Rubbed it in to hide small scratches.

Heatguns work, but I prefer torches. Doesn't work too great on deep scratches, though.

I use the Meguiar's stuff below for minor scratches. Doesn't leave an oily shine.
