Default Clear Bra after 2 years of ownership?

Was quoted 550 for install. I am thinking I am going to pull the trigger on it.

I can sort of just picture my self leisurely washing the bug guts off the clear bra with detail spray and not even worrying about scratching the paint after a days worth of cruising.

Just make sure to spend some time getting the paint as perfect as possible where the bra will be going (chips, scratches, swirls).

I just ordered a OEM G41 black pen and clear coat one side. I will use adams products to buff it to perfection again. Its actually not in bad shape due to I have kept up on it.

I've had my Z for about the same time. I've kept it as chip & swirl free as possible, but eventually nature always wins. I used Dr. Colorchip with mixed results. Some of the smaller chips are unnoticeable, but the larger ones take a bit of finess to fix. Using the Nissan touch up paint actually works better for the bigger chips. Depending on the condition of the bumper, a clear bra is kind of pointless at this point. I'm just going to live with it and eventually re-spray the front bumper. Save your money IMO.

Youre very fortunate that you have access to numerous quality installers in California. I recommend you go with VentureShield Ultra or Avery Nano Fusion (this is my first choice) if you can find it. Black cars show everything so a good smooth film is a must. 3M has a lot of orange peel to it so it will stand out on the car compared to the unprotected areas. Clear bras are a great investment especially for owners who plan on keeping their cars or that are meticulous with their vehicles.

The Nano Fusion film is the slickest most stain ressitant film out. The film is embedded withh the claer coat material throughout making it pracctically stain resistant... and much more resistant to scuffs and scratches. It also comes with a true lifetime warranty for both the film AND the labor. No other company out there stands behind their product like that. I have been installing it for about a year and love it. The only downside is they only make it up to 48" widths which keeps me from being able to wrap a lot of full hoods and full fenders. So I still use VentureShield Ultra for those jobs. I have been using VS Ultra for years and it has been a great film. But I would recommend the Nano Fusion over it any day of the week. Its just a better film.

The installer I am looking at is a Venture Shield user.

I dont have that many chips. I have 1 decent sized one and maybe 5 real tiny chips. Mainly I am doing it for the bug guts etching. My peace of mind wont let me not wash the car with bug guts on it. If I get the clear bra I wont have to wash my car after every drive like a nut job. Its more a mental thing.
