Default Rain came before I finished waxing.

I can't seem to find any advice on this topic anywhere, so I'm askign here. We've been getting a ton of rain here in kentucky for over a month now, with no end in sight. I've neglected my Z during this period, wanting to wait until the weather got better, but there's another week of rain in the forecast so I bit the bullet.

I was putting on the second coat of wax when the storm swept in out of nowhere. So, I have a coat of wax on my car that has only been removed on one side. My question is what should I do once the rain stops? Can I just remove the rest of the coat like normal? Or do I basically have to remove it, wash, and start over a new coat?

I know it's not anything special, but on the weak paint of the 370Z, I find it necessary. I was just wondering if I could get away with removing the rest of the wax once the rain stopped and that would be the end of it.

The paints not that weak. So your z isn't in a garage, it's outside with stuff being blown on it? I would wash the z to get off anything stuck to the wax.

Nope, my roommate put a giant filing cabinet smack dab in the center of the garage. He "plans" to clean it up and paint it so he can use it.

I think the concern would be now that it has been sitting dust and contaminants could have landed on the remaining wax. When you go to remove the wax you will just be rubbing the dirt into the paint and possibly scratching it. Concur with above, wash and rewax.
