I used this one a few months ago and still good
I went over the headlights with sandpaper a few times before I got it all good and clean
After polish I did a few applications of the protection

This one comes with the coating for after you are done so it protects the lens

Polish/buff them again then spray with clear coat. If you had an über-awesome friend like mine who custom-installs clear bra, have a panel cut and fitted.

My friend, we seriously need to unplug you from the paint matrix. You have managed to capture in one picture some of the most worthless crap that you could possibly buy from a auto parts store, and that's putting it nicely. No wonder your headlights are yellow again in two weeks. That buffer you bought couldn't buff butter off a piece of toast and those towels... you may as well be using a fish to wipe on your car.

You don't need any special kit to fix your headlights, you just need to know what to use and how to use it. I do this often using nothing but what I use to fix paint. If you would like to take the red pill and find out just how deep the rabbit hole goes, your journey begins here.

Seriously, though... I would only use those for glass, and door jambs and the like. They are doing more harm to your paint then good.

The Eagle Edgeless towels from The Rag Company are like buffing your car with a baby bunny. They are as soft, or softer than the 12 dollar Wolfgang towel that came free with my Wolfgang Fuzion wax.

As others have mentioned, the sealer is the critical part. Make sure you follow directions exactly.

Like POS VETT mentioned above. I will wet sand with 1000 grit, and then 1500 grit, wash and dry, and spray with an aerosol clear coat. they look like new when done.

He could just save the money spent on sandpaper and use those MF towels for grit.
