Emissions Test Toronto

I need to get my car emissions tested/safetied but have HFCs and a tune. Anyone have any shops they recommend to get this done at?

Give the guys at AMS a call. They might be able to help you out.

I didn't think a 2009 needed e-testing yet... Are you selling the car?

Oh man don't tell me you're selling

Situation like needing e test for ownership changes are clear tax grab. There is no justification for it since they do a 2 years cycle on car over 7 years anyway. I hope the Auditor General report that says this is an illegal tax would get this repealed.

HFC and tune will pass emission without a sweat anywhere ;) Dun worry

you sure? I had headers back with HFC and aftermarket cat back and emissions passed with flying colours.

To be safe, you can save you tune map and flash with stock first. But HFC is no prob at all. With the new system, one pointer is whether your CEL will turn on or not.

Not that I know the answer but the new process requires OBD II plugins and not tail pipe readings so the tune would be the key here.

Exactly... That's why it wouldn't fail because basic bolt ons plus a HFC is not enough to trigger the MAF sensor to turn on the CEL for emissions. It will pass to my knowledge/fro experience.

Like I said, to be 100% sure, simply reflash to stock and flash back the tune after ;)

plus it depends on the bungs too right?
i know BERKS has that extended bit that pulls the sensor out of the airflow. with the new emissions test method i heard its more likely to pass .

Bringing it back for educational purposes. What ever happened? did you need a retune for the E test?
