MrSir 07-13-2013 11:08 PM

I am going to shasha this monday, to get my Z tuned. And i am moving on the 3rd, otherwise i would have totally come down for this.

GaleForce 07-13-2013 11:11 PM

I might be able to make it.

Marcusz 07-14-2013 06:14 PM

I hope u can make it,let me know if u want your car dyno or tuned, sasha can take on 2 or 3 more cars

Luciano13 07-14-2013 07:21 PM

I was thinking about that. I have the UpRev tuner kit. PM me all details.

TheGreatOne 07-15-2013 08:58 AM

Orangeville is before Toronto right?

Not that many great tuners around my parts for Uprev, might be interested depending on price and I don't mind driving a few hours, nice to meet more Z's :)

I actually have Uprev already but only with a 91 map and I don't think it was done to its full potential.

LMBmikeZ 07-15-2013 09:30 AM

Do it! Then we can have a huge z party in orangeville! :happydance:

Also orangeville is actually north west of Toronto/where your coming from

If your coming from Montreal< once you get to 401 west & hwy#89 you exit and head west to hwy#10 and go south to hwy#9.....Orangeville.

Let me know if you are going. You'll drive past my place to get there.

TheGreatOne 07-15-2013 01:56 PM

Ok, so seems from my way, its a little past Tdot.

Well I have a brother in Toronto and best friend who is going to give birth soon, could make this worth my while and top it off with tuning and BBQ with some Z buddies :D

I'll see if I can make this happen

Nice, little convoy to go down, just down leave me in the dust :icon17:

MrSir 07-15-2013 04:30 PM

Sasha is definitely worth your time, I went to him today, and some magic happened. Just from tunning he managed to get almost 22hp in the entire RPM range in gains out of my car. True the base line was super lean and my car was not tunned at all, but still quite amazing. Here is the dyno chart below.

Shotta 07-15-2013 04:46 PM

Does he use a tail pipe sniffer to tune or do you have an extra 02 bung before your cats if you have them?

Ive never actually had a dyno tune done to any of my cars but from looking at Sasha's website looks like the way to get the best tune is with tail pipe sniffer (as long as you don't have cats) or wide band o2 bung before your cats.

Nah, I'll take it easy on you. We'll cruise and break necks as we go

LMBmikeZ 07-15-2013 05:21 PM

speaking of broken necks - my neck broke on the weekend when a convoy of 10-12 vettes drove by on a cruise

It really depends on your setup. My car has BERK HFCs so i still have the O2 sensors in there. so no need for tail pipe sniffers. He just plugged his laptop into the port under the steering wheel and did his magic. The Dyno he uses from what he explained to me is able to create variable resistance to make things more accurate and easy to evaluate.

As for the drive home i actually drove out 100km to Jason's house in Couburg. The car ran flawlessly. It has proper throttle response now, before it was just meh. But then again 20hp certainly makes a difference. I think fuel consumption actually improved too, but ill have to verify that as time goes by.

Marcusz 07-15-2013 06:30 PM

Good to hear that your happy with the tune from sasha,i cant wait to see his magic on a stillen supercharger !!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds good.
Question for you guys in the GTA or Canada in general, where are you getting your UpRev Tuners from? I never really considered this but seeing the dyno and reading some info on Sasha's site is making me think about it pretty seriously.

I bought my UpRev license and cable directly from UpRev, and only because of timing, as in I needed it yesterday. If you don't need the cable, Sasha will have what you need, a license and tune. If you have the normal bolt-ons, intake, HFC, CBE, then get a tune. If you're stock, I wouldn't bother.

When I was NA with bolt-ons I took my car to Sasha.

Trilitheum 07-16-2013 11:03 AM

Just a question for the guys who have gone through the tuning.

So if I buy a used cable with the liscence reclaimed and loaded to the cable, it can be loaded into my ECU then any UpRev tuner, (IE Sasha) can tune the car without me needing to purchase another liscense from them, esentailly just the dyno time?

The Results above are a bit astronomical, typically you wont get that much gains from a tune. My car was just running really poorly. So the base run was actually well below what the average power expected from the car with basic bolt ons is.

I don't have the license or knowledge myself, but just looking at what he was doing and how that effected the results i can definitely vouch for Sasha's work.

As for having the cable/license and still getting him to do the tunning, i believe the cost is a bit higher then just dyno time. Do send him an email though, he is pretty quick with responding, i am sure he can answer any questions you might have.

Trilitheum 07-16-2013 12:20 PM

^Thanks

I didn't mean to imply the tuning was free, I am sure the tuning is on top of the dyno hours. My main question was if it is required to purchase an additional license if you have the cable and Osiris standard licence already.

Shotta 07-16-2013 01:08 PM

Hey Marcusz,

You seem to have an open invitation on coming to your place and have Sasha do multiple cars but I would imagine he will need to spend a decent amount of time with each vehicle to tune. What is the reality as to how many cars he can do at your place on that date and would everyone be splitting up all the costs that are listed on Sasha's website?

When would you need the final confirmation on who is going to come to your place and get a tune?

Once you have an Osiris license you never have to buy another one, all you've be paying for is the tuning. How much that runs is up to the tuner :hello:

I far i as know everybody would have to pay for the time sasha spends on their car as far as dyno and tuning time,i beleive his rates are posted on his website, the good thing about doing multiple cars is that we dont have to worrie about the minimums charges, then sasha told me he can do 2 to 3 cars on top of mine,so far there is me and LMBminkez so there is room for 2 more for tuning and dyno, then theres room for about 40 more to just join the party lol, after the cars are all done im sure we will want to get out and try them, there are very nice road down by my place called hockley valley region, the more we are the better

Luciano13 07-17-2013 03:03 PM

Still have room for dyno & tune?

Did you try giving him money? You'll have your answer if he turns down your money.

GaleForce 07-18-2013 07:28 PM

Honestly, the N/A cars would take longer to bolt up to his dyno than to actually tune them. On the other hand, a FI car will take a lot more time, like ~3-4 hours depending on the goals.
