Sasha is definitely worth your time, I went to him today, and some magic happened. Just from tunning he managed to get almost 22hp in the entire RPM range in gains out of my car. True the base line was super lean and my car was not tunned at all, but still quite amazing. Here is the dyno chart below.

Does he use a tail pipe sniffer to tune or do you have an extra 02 bung before your cats if you have them?

Ive never actually had a dyno tune done to any of my cars but from looking at Sasha's website looks like the way to get the best tune is with tail pipe sniffer (as long as you don't have cats) or wide band o2 bung before your cats.

speaking of broken necks - my neck broke on the weekend when a convoy of 10-12 vettes drove by on a cruise

It really depends on your setup. My car has BERK HFCs so i still have the O2 sensors in there. so no need for tail pipe sniffers. He just plugged his laptop into the port under the steering wheel and did his magic. The Dyno he uses from what he explained to me is able to create variable resistance to make things more accurate and easy to evaluate.

As for the drive home i actually drove out 100km to Jason's house in Couburg. The car ran flawlessly. It has proper throttle response now, before it was just meh. But then again 20hp certainly makes a difference. I think fuel consumption actually improved too, but ill have to verify that as time goes by.

Good to hear that your happy with the tune from sasha,i cant wait to see his magic on a stillen supercharger !!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds good.
Question for you guys in the GTA or Canada in general, where are you getting your UpRev Tuners from? I never really considered this but seeing the dyno and reading some info on Sasha's site is making me think about it pretty seriously.

I bought my UpRev license and cable directly from UpRev, and only because of timing, as in I needed it yesterday. If you don't need the cable, Sasha will have what you need, a license and tune. If you have the normal bolt-ons, intake, HFC, CBE, then get a tune. If you're stock, I wouldn't bother.

When I was NA with bolt-ons I took my car to Sasha.

Just a question for the guys who have gone through the tuning.

So if I buy a used cable with the liscence reclaimed and loaded to the cable, it can be loaded into my ECU then any UpRev tuner, (IE Sasha) can tune the car without me needing to purchase another liscense from them, esentailly just the dyno time?

The Results above are a bit astronomical, typically you wont get that much gains from a tune. My car was just running really poorly. So the base run was actually well below what the average power expected from the car with basic bolt ons is.

I don't have the license or knowledge myself, but just looking at what he was doing and how that effected the results i can definitely vouch for Sasha's work.

As for having the cable/license and still getting him to do the tunning, i believe the cost is a bit higher then just dyno time. Do send him an email though, he is pretty quick with responding, i am sure he can answer any questions you might have.

^Thanks

I didn't mean to imply the tuning was free, I am sure the tuning is on top of the dyno hours. My main question was if it is required to purchase an additional license if you have the cable and Osiris standard licence already.

Shotta 07-16-2013 01:08 PM

Hey Marcusz,

You seem to have an open invitation on coming to your place and have Sasha do multiple cars but I would imagine he will need to spend a decent amount of time with each vehicle to tune. What is the reality as to how many cars he can do at your place on that date and would everyone be splitting up all the costs that are listed on Sasha's website?

When would you need the final confirmation on who is going to come to your place and get a tune?

Once you have an Osiris license you never have to buy another one, all you've be paying for is the tuning. How much that runs is up to the tuner :hello:
