Alcheng and I will be discussing another cruise.

It all depends on his schedule... We're most likely planning one in October Thanks Giving weekend?

Will that be a possibility? Since most of us are Asians on don't do the Thanks Giving thing.. How about the everyone else?

I have some nice roots to choose from and a good photo shoot location.

Chime in so that we can see the interest for that.

Thanks!

zefaulter 09-03-2013 07:36 AM

That should be good, let's do it!

haha, you guys took it the good direction. If you head the other direction and take the hairpin in the picture as a right turn you will bottom out even at OEM height :shakes head: great road though

Boomer370 09-03-2013 09:27 PM

Hey Alcheng,

Could we add rattle snake point, twiss road, side road 8 , and snake road on that route?

Side road has the photo shoot location from the eindows wallpaper.

Rattle snake, twiss, snake have twisties.

MAP

We should take a Wednesday and pre drive that route Alcheng.

it will be very trick to tackle if it is down-hill since it will be an off-camber corner and also very tough on the braking since all the weight will transfer to the front...

1) Rattle Snake Point: It is that 1st gear double-hairpin on Appleby Line, it is already on the Milton Route.

2) Snake Road is also on the Milton Route, it is the last stint of the route before we arrive the plaza/pub.

For Twiss Road and 8 Sideroad, I just browse through google map and looks like they are all paved and seems pretty nice, I will alter the route to include those.

true but if you take the down hill wide there you are ok you just need someone to go first to make sure it is clear. I have gone with a buddy and we take walkie talkies just the two of us and space it out, guy in front gets head start and takes it "slow" to scope out then other guy tailing can be a little more spirited knowing there is no one down the road looking to pull them over :icon17:

Boomer370 09-05-2013 07:14 AM

Hey Alcheng!

Route looks great!

Thanks for incorporating some of my ideas.

We/I definitely have to take a test drive next week sometime to make sure the roads are good.

I want to secure that photo shoot spot, it'll be really nice location to shoot from. Also thinking of securing a spot on top of rattle snake point for a photo shoot?

Want to pay a visit to the owners of the property before hand.

MrSir 09-05-2013 07:56 AM

btw you might want to take out Side Road 3 from the cruise line. Its actually a very dusty gravel road. good for dirt bikes or wrx/evos not so much for Zs. Its not bumpy but the car will look matte after you go through it. Me and my friend went through there the first time we tested the routes around Guelph Line.

MrSir 09-05-2013 08:13 AM

Also another possible idea is this: Hamilton - Niagara on the Lake

I was thinking as a season closing cruise we do something more chilled. There isn't many curves on that route but for the most part is a nice country road where we can cruise, no hassle in loosing people on left turns or street lights as much. Plus when we get near St. Catherines and Niagara on the Lake there is plenty of wineries and cool spots to stop for a photoshoot. We can grab food in that area and then drive back to T.O. via the QEW

Boomer370 09-05-2013 08:33 AM

I'm always up for winery runs!

Of course if we go on Niagara on the Lake runs we gotta do the Tunnels!!

no problem..

the rattlesnake point(hairpin section) is a very very tight spot, almost like 1.5 car width.

I would like to have a test drive on the route next Wed morning to see the route, I remember I have gone through that route with you and your friend last year.. (you know, that time only you and me show up...)

After we cross 406, can we change the last stint to Ontario Street and Lakeshore road??

That's why that turn is fun! I think there is a property there, I an see if the owners will let us park in there for a quick photo shoot.

We can end at the pub on my map for drinks after?
