Red brake calipers

Hey guys my 2012 z got the sport black callipers,i really want them red,so whats the best way to go ??? Do i buy new ones in red or do i get these powder coated?????

DEpointfive0 02-25-2013 05:53 PM

Powder coated... Message "Mike" here on the forum

Mike 02-25-2013 07:18 PM

I can do them for you. Its 350 plus 75 shipping to Canada. Premium members get a 50 discount.

Marcusz 02-25-2013 07:44 PM

So what do i have to do? Just take them off and send them in??? What about all the seals

Mike 02-25-2013 08:01 PM

yeah, I take care of removing and reinstalling the seals, All you have to do is remove the brake pads and clips that hold them.

sparky 02-25-2013 11:56 PM

Send them to Mike. I just did this and it is the best way to go. It seemed crazy to send parts of my car to Georgia all the way from Vancouver but i like things done right and Mike exceeded expectations. Plus he's a pilot. If you can't trust a pilot then what is the world coming to. :rofl2:

No, and you could tell that whole movie was all fantasy right when the captain did the walkaround inspection in the pouring rain, that would never happen.

That and having hot flight attendants.

I'm senior on a smaller airplane so I can fly nicer trips. Most of the flight attendants I fly with, we call area codes. Thats because their seniority is in the 3 digits, while we have over 15000 flight attendants total. Some have been flying at the airline longer than I've been alive! (I'm 47).

Why don't you just buy some Infiniti calipers and take a nice drive down to Mike and have them powdercoated. :driving:

Marcusz 03-05-2013 03:22 PM

Yes, exact same, the infiniti ones are cheaper for some reason.

Look: Z1 Akebono Sport Brake Upgrade Package

Marcusz 03-05-2013 09:47 PM

Can i not just buy the red calipers

Wonka2581 03-05-2013 10:11 PM

Yes you can buy them but they are about $230 more then the infinity ones

Mike 03-05-2013 10:12 PM

you can. they are more expensive than the infiniti ones, but the same price as the stock ones I think. Z1 charges 225 more on the brake package for the stock or red over infiniti.

sparky 03-05-2013 10:13 PM

You could but go to Mikes site and you'll see the difference in quality and color choices. Worth it in my opinion but ymmv.

thanks!

You can buy the red ones from Z1 for 225 more than the infiniti ones, or as a premium member, pay me 300 more (50 discount for premiums!) and get a much nicer finish.

So basically $75 more?

I'll be going through this process myself in the future, do you think I can ship only the callipers to you straight from Z1 while I get the rest of the stuff shipped to me?

I think I'd be interested in orange calipers, sorta like the GT-R colour but not exactly.

Marcusz 03-06-2013 08:14 PM

Mike i will send you all 4 calipers once i get the car back out of storage in the next month or so ok

yes, I do all of Z1's powdercoating, so we ship stuff between each other all the time. If you order through them, they will ship them to me for coating, I ship back to them, and then they ship to you. Usually, you buy the infinti ones from them and then pay me for coating, but sometimes you can just package it all with them also.

Marcusz 03-29-2013 02:22 PM

I think these would look good with red calipers and black wheels what do you guys think ???
