Edmonton & Area Tint Problems

Hey guys,

I know that it is illegal for the front windows to be tinted but how much hassle have the cops gave you for having them done?

I guess I will be finding out soon. Hopefully, with the tint level I chose it won't be to obvious.

What are you going for? I never had the front windows tinted on my other car but definitely want them on the Z.

It's illegal here in Illinois also. But, I went to my Dermatologist and had him write me a letter about how I need tint since skin cancer runs in my family. Did that in 96 and have never had a problem since.

I have limo all around and 45% on the front windshield, I have been stopped by 3 cops, 2 complained about my limo, one complimented me on all of them. I told them it seems darker because I did my front windshield and they said it doesn't even look like it's tinted. They don't care about the front windshield so much as they do the sides.

5% all around never been stopped by the cops, been pulled over once for speeding, only thing he bitched about besides my speed was the nitrous. I had 5% all around on my Cobalt SS/SC and only thing i got pulled over for was my exhaust was to loud before i got it welded up, didnt say anything about tint.

From what my friend told me when i first moved to edmonton is, if you dont act like a retard on the streets, cops wont normally bother you. Heres tint on both my cars...

I had 35% tint on '99 Mustang, and did not receive a ticket in the 3 years I drove it.

Also 35% tint on a '03 G35, and received 2 tickets in the last 7 years ... most recent two weeks ago for $57 ... I'll take that
