sad to hear:( hoping the transporting company pays for it

younter 01-05-2011 02:45 PM

Nope.I gotta pay myself + insurance..If is not winter, I will perfer driving. It may take some days. But the cost will be cheaper than just do transporting..BTW, anyone have any suggestion on front lips? Since my front bumper got scratched..I want to get a lip for protection..anyone installed the Evo R front Lip 3 pces? Or Sunline racing front lips?

To pass the Federal & Provincial vehicle inspection I had to have the DRL activated or an aftermarket install.

I called nearly all the dealerships in the lower mainland, all the way out to Abbotsford to see if any could install the factory DRL. There was only one that would (could) do it. It was interesting (humorous actually) the range of responses received. One service manager said their guys would have no clue how to do it, another quoted $450.00 to install aftermarket ones.

At first the dealership quoted me $250 to install the factory DRL module, but when I went to pick up the car, the service guy said it was just a programming change made that was required and charged me $56 (including taxes).

To do it yourself, you'll need the Consult-III. If the dealership will agree to turning them off, try the one in Burnaby.

Cheers,
Cheech

Morrey Nissan dealership in Burnaby ?????????

Cheech 02-14-2011 09:44 AM

Yes, ask for Rob in the service department.

:)

kay3399 02-14-2011 08:58 PM

what the prices look like on just turning them off or installing factory DRL module?"

Cafiax 03-19-2011 06:09 PM

hello there 370z owners of the lower mainland! :D where would you recommend me to go to get an exhaust and HFC installed around the Richmond/Vancouver region? Any trust worthy shops around here that have experience with a 370z?

nismo 1234 03-19-2011 07:11 PM

drive hard performance in richmond is pretty good. very friendly guys. i also find that they gave me best pricings i could find.
What exhaust are you getting? do you already have the exhaust and HFC?

there is also a shop in richmond called PT maxi, owner and sales associates both drives 370z. you can give them a call and ask for their pricing

Cafiax 03-20-2011 01:26 AM

I think I've finally decided on the F.I HFC and CBE I think its the best bang per buck with amazing sound. I haven't ordered them yet due to some delay on getting an OK from a friend that lives in Seattle that I can get it shipped to. But once I get them I'll be needing to get them installed. Exhaust I can do myself but the HFC requires tools that I don't have so trying to find a good shop to get it done at.

Not sure if it matters, but they will ship to Canada, i just asked Tony a week ago.

Cafiax 03-20-2011 02:05 AM

But wouldn't the shipping price and shipping time change dramatically? Like how if you ordered something on a US site and shipping within US is like 7 days but to Canada it is like 30 days or something ridiculous.

90 ST 03-20-2011 02:08 AM

It may...but if you're waiting 6-9 weeks for the CBE anyway...i think it was not too bad ship time, once it's made. Good chance it would be cheaper to ship to the US though, since you have that option.

Some of you guys really should try and make it over to the island for the Poker Run. The Nissan club here are attending so there is already some 300sx's, 350z and 370z's attending. Good cause and a good time. Would love to have you over.

Dave

I'd really like to, however, with my drop, the slope on that ramp exiting the ferry would definitely cause some carnage!

DDonovan 05-10-2011 10:44 PM

^ Very nice pic. How low are you? I went to Van a couple of weekends ago me in my lowered S2000 and another lowered NSX..., did the angle thing and asked for the most level deck..., they put us on the top..., didn't have an issue.

Ztoon 05-11-2011 12:31 AM

Lowered 1". I'm limited to about 50% of my city. Sure looks gooood though!
Cool, I didn't know some decks were better than others.

DDonovan 05-11-2011 02:10 PM

Actually come to think of it, it would have been the middle deck. Top and Bottom would have more angle to the deck and to the ramp..., middle not as much.

FricFrac 05-12-2011 12:01 PM

I'm lowered an inch as well - it's really not a problem. I just ask to be put on the lower deck with the trucks - more space between lanes and less chance of someone banging into you.
