I had the UpRev dyno tune reflash which was $495.00. This also gives you 5 different settings into the car.
If you want to tune it yourself the software and tool tuner package runs about $900.00.

So is $495 a complete dyno tune and UpRev software? If so that's not to bad. $900 is getting a little steep to being able to tune your own car IMHO. I guess it licencing though . I'll be getting a complete MegaSquirt ECU and sensors and injectors for less than that for my 280ZX turbo build... different application though I suppose...

495....... no software

kevin.z 03-14-2010 02:34 PM

z-tune still has the free dyno? i emailed them and them didn reply.

Ztoon 03-14-2010 04:43 PM

They're closed Sunday.
They're sending me the base results when it's done, an that aint happened yet, so's Im guessing it's still on.

kevin.z 03-14-2010 06:01 PM

900 is just for the tuner software you can tune yourself - I don't think that's what Ztoon got....

Ztoon 03-15-2010 10:19 PM

FricyFrac...I luvs ya bud, but you got to read the whole thread...tis only two pages, an it tells it all......

FricFrac 03-15-2010 11:54 PM

Well you're gonna have to break it down for me because I've re-read it and I'm missing something.

I know you don't have Cipher because its only good to 2007 models

Osiris is $300 for an e-tune which you didn't get. Standard is $500 which doesn't include your dyno tune. You said your dyno tune was $495or you can get the full tuner software is $900 but the Osiris Tuner is $700. Can you see how I'm confused? None of the numbers add up....

Osiris Flash - $300
Osiris Standard - $500
Osiris Tuner - $700

Your tune - $495?
Tuner software - $900?

Should I assume you have an Osiris Flash that was dyno tuned for $495? Does that give you a standard map and a tuned map?

Maybe give Nick Bellamy a call at Ztune, 1 888 933 8863, as he's better versed on this than I am.

This is the process I opted for. I pulled this off their site:
Rather than buying an expensive stand-alone ECM or piggy-back, the UpRev system allows us to reprogram your stock ECM with up to 5 maps that you can switch between on the fly! Have a performance tune, a stock tune, a valet mode and more! This package includes an hour of dyno tuning. Dial your car into it's ideal performance!

The stock ECM is as powerful as many aftermarket stand-alones, and is even better than some! It's a great choice for tuning naturally aspirated or forced induction Zs and Gs!

We Tune:

Up to 5 maps
Optimize AFR Maps
Optimize Timing Maps
Wide Open Throttle Control & Throttle Response
Speed Limiter
Rev Limiter
Idle Speed
Cam Phasing for equipped vehicles
DTC disable
Fuel Compensation

Careful with the "MAPS" that are being developed. All is not right with them yet. There are others on these forums that have had problems with the UpRev "tunes". Do a search, you may want to wait some before the maps are ok to run (CEL's etc.).

While searching for K&N drop in filters in Google, ZTune popped up. What a great price - $55/filter. Cdn Tire wanted $70. They appear to have some great prices.
