Default Uprev Flash and Emissions Test

Hi Everyone,

Searched and couldn't really find the answer but wanted to know if you need to reflash the ecu from an uprev tune to pass emissions in Ontario. I don't have any DTC codes disabled and have no CEL light on but Im unsure if I need to reflash the stock ecu back for when they hook up the machine to do the emissions test.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks!

I'm sure someone who knows more will chime in soon, but imo I dont see an issue with the Uprev Tune itself as long as you have a good tune and your running a normal Air/Fuel ratio.

Unless you have codes disabled in the tune you should pass. The reflash itself has no impact on emissions. Just don't reflash right before you go as it will clear all the readiness checks and you'll have to drive a bit to cycle through them again.

If you're anything like OHIO, all they do here is to hook up into the OBDII port to check for any recent (or stored) codes. If none are found, you should be good to go.

On my 40th, I have a tune and other add-ons (see signature) and my car has passed inspection every year. Now, if they do the "tailpipe test", there may be a different outcome...

As long as your CEL is off and all your monitors are ready you should pass
