I never park in gear, no matter what. But then I would never park on a hill, even if I had to park at the bottom and walk up, just paranoid!

Now that said, from day 1 my parking brake was junk. Every time I wanted to set it I had to get bruce banner over just to give it enough force to even engage. Luckily I found the DIY to fixing it that has kindly been posted here already, no issues since
