I've heard the centric posiquiets are better than oem and low dust. Otherwise, as far as I can find OEM are the best for dust.

Do they? I thought they were low dust. HPS, not HP+

My HPS's don't dust too bad and they took a beating on the Dragon and never faded

Project MU FTW. If your looking for strictly a street pad, Type NS. They also have pads for street/track or mainly track.

I have the Type NS.....virtually 0 dust. Good initial bite.

It's all subjective. I know plenty of people who agree that the HPS are low dust. I want low dust because the Z is my DD. If I were looking for performance brake pads, dust would not be factored into my decision.

FWIW, I run Hawk Performance Ceramics on my front wheels, and they dust too much for my liking (not happy with performance either). They dust less than the HPS, hence my opinion that the HPS dust a lot. Just my opinion though.

I submit that unless you track your car hard and often, stock Nissan pads are your best bet, even for the occasional "spirited" drive. The stock pads don't dust too much, are quiet, and have a great cold - hot performance range. If you're tracking often, then you might consider two different sets of pads; one (stock) set for the street, and one (dustier, noisier, higher heat range) set for the track.

Stock don't always = inferior crap. Sometimes it ain't broke, and doesn't need fixin'.

Akebono Pro-Act. Much better than OEM on my G37 coupe. They give way better feel and modulation. The brakes were like a light switch with OEM pads and I hated them before I changed to the Akebonos. Very little dust as well.

If you want low dust, go for ceramic pads from whatever your favorite company is. Stoptech, Hawk, akebono all have a set (or 2)

No dust and love the performance with my Carbotech ceramic pads. Full story:

I own a 2010 370z with sport package and manual trans. I do not track the car. Had the stock rotors machined at about 20K miles, which helped fix some bad vibration issues. At about 24K miles vibration returned even worse. I decided to bite the bullet and invest in new pads and rotors.

I hit the Z forums and after doing some reading decided to go with Carbotech Bobcat pads which I bought from Forged Performance for $154 for the fronts and $132 for the rears, plus a liter of Motul RBF 600 Racing DOT 4 Brake Fluid for $44. For rotors I went with the DBA 4000 Series Slotted Brake Rotors. KNS Brakes in Raleigh NC had a very good deal on a complete set for only $449+$62 shipping to my home in Florida. I also bought Goodridge stainless brake lines from JSC Speed for $203. I had the tires balanced and wheels aligned at the same time the parts were installed.

Wow; what a complete difference. I had read lots of reports about how the Carbotech Bobcats pads squeal but this was absolutely not the case with my car. I watched the mechanic install the pads and he used plenty of goop (whatever that goop is). Not even once have the Bobcat pads made any noise.

Stopping is a whole new experience compared to the stock pads and rotors; much more control, and I can modulate the control compared to just coming to quick stop. Another benefit with the Bobcat pads, there is no brake dust at all (or so little that I can barely detect it). I am very very pleased with this setup and recommend it to anyone like me, who does not track their car, but does occasionally drive aggressively around town. Also, if you are looking for a very experienced Nissan mechanic in the south Florida area, I highly recommend Tommy at Grieco Nissan of Fort Pierce. Tommy used to work for Mike Wade's Z-performance shop back in the day.
