SPL Upper Control Arms. The First

After a great weekend at ZNational this year again, I won the raffle for these sexy SPL Camber Arms. It was claimed to be the first set offered to the public next to the race teams that tested them. If that's true, cool. But these babies are sweeeeet. The raffle also included the rear camber arms. Together that's over 1K. I almost have everything SPL offers. Just two more products and that's it. There expensive for what you get.

Well I already had the rears so before I could get off the stage I was approached by another member here that already knew I had the rears. That quick we made a paypal transaction and off he was. Then five minutes later I'm approached about my SPC front arms. Yep, sold too. lol

Big thanks to SPL for donating these to Z1

Wow how lucky can you be. Congrats. Those arms are special.

I am still on the fence with these. I have no intentions of tracking the car but updating the suspension anyway with coilovers. I know SPC's would cover the camber requirements up front but damn those things are nice and totally am into the adjustment set up they went with. What's an old fart supposed to do?????

Wow I am super jelly! Can you weigh one? They look beefy and I'm curious if they are heavier than the steel options.

OldFart 10-07-2013 09:16 PM

:bowrofl: To all the old farts prior to this post that said I should order these - I just did. Baby jesus is happy. :happydance:

Did you get the reaction from SWMBO that I got ...

I've had "the silent" treatment for 4 days .... man life is good, no ear-noise at all.

Downside is I am cooking for myself, but it will be a few days yet before I starve and need to capitulate !!

Only problem is they are not being shipped from Corner3Garage until the end of the week and flight-time to Oz will be 4 days (at least).

Ah well, the joys of wedded bliss (39 years and counting !!).

FedEx phone call. Wasn't home when they called. Left message with tracking number. Checked the tracking number and it was shipped from Austin. Do in tomorrow. :D I have a bunch of SPL parts coming from corner3 though. Like my bushings and end links.

cv129 10-08-2013 04:04 PM

Thx Rusty.

Santa forgot my present. I better send him a reminder

Rusty 10-08-2013 04:21 PM

Just got an e-mail notice from FedEx again. LOL It's coming from SPL.

cv129 10-08-2013 07:08 PM

Went home thinking how come everybody is getting the goodies and not me...the pkg already got delivered at the office already! Now my suspension plan is coming together finally!

I'm getting the front done first. The rear might be in the spring. Got to get this stuff paid for on the credit card. LOL

Rangerz 10-09-2013 09:45 PM

Are you guys ordering just the upper arms from corner3garage? On one of Rusty's pics it looked like upper and lowers. Didn't see the lowers pictured on there web page. I guess I might have mistaken something in the picture.

I ordered both the upper control arms and both lower bushings.

Whelp, I know what I'm working on this winter. Suspension suspension suspension.

Shamu 10-10-2013 06:02 PM

Placed my order today! Finally a real adjustable front control arm that doesn't cost and arm and a leg.

Nissanboy 10-10-2013 08:00 PM
