In the Last picture, it shows that you are working with the stock arm.

This happens because stock Rubber Bushings bind and dont move as freely and have much more stiction than the SPL arms.

This is because the SPL arms have Spherical Bearings and these are able to move freely.

Thanks,
Mike

Yep biggest improvement we can do with 370 z suspension is to go full spherical I just completed purchase of all spherical bushing replacement of all stock bushings using al SPL parts! Upper and lower arms both front and rear including hub bushings.

How big of an NVH hit have you guys experienced moving to spherical bearing bushings? (Especially g37 owners, since I'm one too!).

Yeah my Kinetix arms have some drag, probably more than any of these fancy pants arms with sphericals, but nothing like the soft rubber bind on the stock ones. the crazy part is, every bushing on the car binds just like that!

Have you greased them up? My Kinetix arms must have been pretty dry when I got them as they started squeaking in less than a month on the car. I pulled them off and cleaned all the original grease out and put my zerk grease gun on them and used that to put good Mobil 1 grease back in. Now no squeak and they don't drag.

They don't squeak since I re-greased them, but there is some drag.

It's not real bad, if you hold the arm all the way up and let go, it slowly swings to the bottom, rather than falling like a rock like these sphericals will.

Always happens. They must tighten from the factory with the suspension loaded. With it up in the air they pop out like that.

Shamu, which of the spherical bearings had the biggest impact on suspension performance?
