Which brand and model makes the mildest drop(spring) for 370Z??

I have been reading all these previous threads on Springs and dropping but as I read more, I get more confused. Everyone and every sites provide different dropping length and I want the mildest drop. (Maybe .5" to .7"??) I concluded myself that Tein S-tech has the mildest drop among all of them but someone told me Eibach is the one, other people are saying Eibach, others saying Swift, :eekdance:
Can someone firmly say which brand has the mildest drop? (I'm considering under 1")

I believe swifts and Eibach are about as mild as it gets right around 1"

really? I thought Eibach goes more than 1" ! but thanks for the answer!

any more suggestion guys? I know that Tein S Tech states that 0.9" front and 0.7" rear something like that on their advertisement and I heard after them settling down, people noticed like 1.5" drop!

Dont know how s techs perform on Z's, but i know they we're horrible on my WRX. Very sloppy, bouncing around, could feel all imperfections on the road, did not provide any performance at all!!! I later installed swifts and the difference was night and day, perfect drop, very mild, and performed a WHOLE lot better than the stechs. Like i said, cant talk about how the 2 will behave on a Z, but as far as product quality and performance goes, i feel swifts are better... Hope this helps :tiphat:

Really? wow from what I read before, Swift drops the MOST! like more than 1.3" all around. But Yes, Swift provides really good quality of ride I heard. When you said mild, how mild? How much of inch you think your car got dropped by? Thanks!:hello:

Tein H Tech or RS*R springs have the mildest drop! Less than .8" (RS*R is .6" drop) Problem is, they are not readily avail in the USA, you need to get them from Japan. :eekdance:

Swift's drop 1.2" front and 1" rear.

Yes! I wanted to get H Tech but because they are not available in US, I gave up haha. but I wish they were still sold in US :(

I think about 1.2 front 1.0 rear, but again that was on a wrx. dont want to confuse you thinking you'll get the same results on a Z, sorry. Its just that i swore i would never buy stechs, more likely ill have the same results in any other car. Regarding swifts, they work really well in subarus and from what ive seen around here, looks like on Z's too! Again, dont want to confuse you, so i recommend you keep doing your homework like you are now. I didnt do it with the stechs the first time around and paid for it :shakes head:.

I am 100% with your on this. I have the stech, they are great for street, more comfortable than stock, lower the car enough. etc.

BUT, the performance is not so good, I wen to the track and I will be going back to stock springs, stock performs better than these IMO.

not sure on this car, but ive tried s-techs and h-techs on my G35C like 8yrs ago and hated the ride. too soft and wiggly tailed.

ended up with eibachs + D-Spec dampers, but today, i would recommend you do the Swifts. those springs match stock dampers very well.

also, im not sure if it's really worth it to do such a mild drop like 0.5" or watnot.. progressive rate springs (usually found on lowering springs) make the car too sloppy unless you get swaybars and/or dampers. you have to do so much compensation that it's better just to do it right the first time and run Swifts or something that is 'worth' the amount of work you put in.

otherwise, just leave your car stock height and get the right offset wheels, spacers, etc.

I have sway bars and that doesn't help. The soft progressive spring is just not for performance, at least on this car. Also, the better the tires, the worse the suspension will feel.
Like I said, the car felt better with stock springs. BUT if you are only looking to lower and don't care for performance, the S tech is the way to go, the ride is great.

i suppose if you want to lower and maintain performance, Swift springs is the way to go, per the thousands of fans out there.

tein is overrated imho. i was one of the first ones to have TypeHA coilovers in the usa back in the late 1990s. was a fan back then, but today, im more of a Swift fan if im lowering my ride. matched with stock dampers, paint does not crack off, almost oem like durability.

for me though, i prefer stock ride on my Z. just front stabilizer and the wheels/tires is all it took. :D

I went to the track completely stock as far as suspension, and sticky tires and the car felt better than with sway bars and Stech springs (same model and size tires)

Any more info here? I contacted stance and they told me the least amount of drop would be around 1.5 inches. I think that will be too low for my situation.
