Default Steel brake lines recommendations

I could not find what i was looking for in my search. I thought i remember hearing there was an issue with the Z1 brake line blocks being a cheap metal and bending? Is this true? They also have a premium set of SS brake lines...are those recommended and does anyone have them that can comment?

I also saw Zspeed has a couple premium SS brake line kits. Looking to buy the right one...need help!

I just got the Z1 regular (not premium) SS brake lines. The banjo bolts are just another potential leak point. I just did the install a couple weekends ago, and I was very pleased with them. I will just reiterate what others told me (even the guy I spoke with at Z1) and recommend the regular non-premium lines without the banjo bolts. Not to mention right now they are $30 cheaper than the premium lines at Z1.

I have the Z1 regular so far never had any issues so far. I dint think you do have any plans of tracking your car anyway. You should be good with the regular ones.

Make sure whatever lines you buy are coated. Uncoated SS lines will chew through anything they touch.

Goodridge break lines looks top notch from Zspeed plus I think they are running a 10% discount on all items.

I have heard some had leak issues with the Z1. Try to use Motul RBF 600 too.

Looks the same with Z1 except the different color coatings.
But I would rather buy from Zspeed the coating seems to be superior.

I guess its just the brand but goodridge is well known in making braided lines, they supply the braided hoses for stillens oil coolers as far as I remember.

Wink

Have the Z1 with the bango bolt. No leaks so far. The thing with the bango bolts is that you have to use new washers with them. If you install the bolts without MAKING sure the area is clean. And there is a small piece of crut there. It will leak.
