Air-Motion cup system review

1 Attachment(s)
UPDATE: horrible system, after a maybe 2000 miles. the compressor started leaking, the cup makes a lot noise and feels really clunky…….i would not recommend it!!!!! never buying anything from them again.Review of Air-Motion, Air cup system. The first 4 cups system for the Z34!!

Very high quality material was using in the making of the cup. Install was easy(did it my self). Love how the cup operate, and the way my coilovers are running with it. It's all run by one small remote control, just like a car remote! I'm running on true dual BC BR coilovers with 12k 65mm springs. The Up and Down speed is at a really good rate. This kit also come with a Solenoid to control the speed of air out take and intake of the tank. Air-Motion provides you with everything for easy installation!

AkumaZeto 03-04-2013 01:22 PM

killergx001 03-05-2013 04:15 PM

Thanks guys, i love the system. saved my azz a couple of times from scraping haha

TheGreatOne 03-05-2013 04:24 PM

Crap will have to watch the video at home, blocked at work but this system has been peaking my interest a lot more. I messaged them last week

Seeing as you can retain the performance aspect of your coilovers, these seem like the perfect solution to steep driveways, entrances, surprise roadwork and speed bumps..

yeah it's pretty sweet, especially if you have the 40th color or an expensive body kit that you don't want to damage/scrap. Or even your exhaust system..:happydance:

Took me about 4 hours. That is if you know your car really well, like the back of your hand lol :ughdance:

But then the rear cup took another 2-3 hours....-_-

iceman21_23 03-28-2013 12:13 PM

can you stay at the raised height? or does it come down on its own?

It stays at that height, even when the compressor is not on lol which is sweet!

TonySlimfast 04-02-2013 01:31 PM

Is there any difference in the ride quality? Also Would this work on oem style coilovers?

So far, riding quality is the same as running on aftermarket coilovers, and no, you would have to buy a new set of aftermarket coilovers lol.

So I understand why you would run it on all 4 but would it be possible to just go with the front 2?

Yeah originally it was suppose to run on just 2, but then later on i wanted to have a complete kit, so i did all 4. So yes! you can just run on 2 front cups!

fxroar 04-06-2013 09:25 PM

What's the price for 2? Thinking about doing the rear as I've been scraping the FI TDX CF cans.

Hmmm seems like a good alternative to a full air bag system, for getting over bumps and what not

Nice, wanted to do something on my G as well. Any idea how this is different/better to Accu air?

Bags and Cups are totally different things Bags are More for shows and Cups are more performance.(in my understanding)

stevent85 04-17-2013 03:22 PM

Is the motor noisy and how long does it take to fill up? Your ride looks sweet BTW!

Price is so high for something so simple.

Great product though. Just wouldn't buy it just because of price.

Thanks, maybe I havent looked into the difference that much. Saw accuair on some cars works awesome with their e level management.

What I was asking mainly how it works differently then bags? does it move the coil sleeve up and down?

simota1 04-19-2013 10:03 AM

can you run this if your not running on a true coil over system?

I think it will only work on the fronts for us regular coil guys - it seems like the cups press down on the spring, and the multi-link rear wouldn't allow that.

so i would have to change my coil overs to run this system? :(

Compare to Roberta (which is a $9000 system) it's all worth it. I also got a really expensive body kit coming in, so this is like insurance ;)

It's a little noisy if you don't hide it somewhere in the Trunk and just let it sit in the box. But then again every compressor is noisy lol. and it takes about 30 sec to fill the whole tank up.

Yes, you can run just the front cup. I barely use the rear, mostly just the fronts anyways

And nope lol. you can just do the front ;)

docaam 04-20-2013 11:47 PM

Will definitely look into this or accuair next month, price being the main deciding factor

TerribleONE 11-24-2013 06:56 PM

Bringing this back from the dead.. Do you track or canyon the car? I am wondering how big of an impact this has on handling besides the added weight

I'm not an extreme tracker but I do take the car to the track once in a while. Ones the cup sits flat down, it's like it's not even there. So handling and all that good stuff is still intact at %100. As for the weight each cup is only about a a pound and the box is about 15 pounds or so :)

TerribleONE 12-08-2014 11:28 AM

Back from the dead again... Anyone have a long term review on this system?

Realale 01-07-2015 06:06 PM

I'm going to have a set of BC's with swift springs and Airmotion cup kit for sale in the next couple days TerribleONE fyi. Extremely low miles also.

killergx001 04-02-2015 11:31 AM

horrible system, after a maybe 2000 miles. the compressor started leaking, the cup makes a lot noise and feels really clunky…….i would not recommend it!!!!! never buying anything from them again.

Liquid_G 04-02-2015 01:44 PM

Better not say stuff like that.. JT might un-friend you on FB. lololol

Have you contacted them? What did they say?

RyanWest 04-07-2015 08:41 PM

Just because the compressor started leaking doesn't mean you need to jump on here bashing a company. How about you contact them and see what us. Were is the compressor leaking at?
