Default Wilwood vs AP Racing

Hello everyone. I'm relatively new here but have been reading like crazy and learning a lot here
I started thinking of doing a brake upgrade on my car (370z base) and liked the
AP Racing Kit for the 370z and the Wilwood 370z Kit as well. I know most people favor the AP Racing but I remember reading an article that said that both of these were pretty similar in both design and pads they could use.

My question is, is there really any major reason to choose one over the other?

I want this for track use just in case.

You're going to want to find someone that has run both... i use AP Racing and happy with the setup and support but never used Wilwood... what are your objectives? time trial, racing, what kind of tracks, etc

I would be for Solo 1 and Gymkhana events. I'm from Puerto Rico and we only have 3 tracks I believe for these events. The main one I would be going to, my friends who track there say that brakes are key for that track.

you might think about going for the lightest possible... trying to set aside my bias for ap racing, i remember hearing that the stoptech trophy series were light ON SALE: StopTech Big Brake Kits

also the stock sport calipers are good for what you're doing... bbks are for soaking up a lot of heat, serviceability, weight and steady performance... stock ones are already pretty good across many of those factors, as you probably know. good luck
