Maybe delrin front lower bushings in a few months. But I don't want to derail this thread. Perhaps we could start another thread or PM me if there's interest from the community. |

To clear up Baer's question...
The Doran ball joints don't use grease because they are manufacturer to much tighter tolerances than SPC or Kinetix. I don't know of any race teams that use greased ball joints simply because what they use doesn't have as much play in it as what is used for street driving. That said, i'm not a mechanic.. on a race team.. or smart. So take my explanation with a grain of salt. |
When can I get those toe arms. I need something ASAP
|
The stuff we had been working on... worked very well.
We are def close on the overall platform. Are you running a true coilover in the rear? The bad part in all this is that we have one week (this one) and then two back to back races ... And then a 2 day test in indy. More than likely it will be July until we can get parts into production. :( Dwnshift |
Yes I run true type

I look forward to anyone on this forum coming out with great new products. The problem seems to be the ones who hype it up and say its coming....... Well that day never comes. Just a quick fact about this forum. Boy I wish I could start a list.

Or the priority is getting Nissan and Nissan Motorsports a big fat W !
We def checked one item off the list... And believe me... To be in the pits and see #14 flash to the top... see mouths drop wide open from other teams... was a thing of absolute beauty. We had been setting up the car on old tires and knew that in quali trim it was gonna be competitive.... just didnt know how much tires were gonna improve the times. It caught everybody of guard.... And now they know... we are coming and we want it. Main issue now is... the next tow tracks benefit higher HP cara for sure. Road America def fav the camaro and mustangs.... Watkins Glenn could fav us I the track gets greasy and slick. Guess we shall see.... Test day at RA is next Wed so time is pretty short. |

We shall see. The animals we run against are a whoooole different league.
Torque is king at Watkins Glenn... But so is unreal braking which we have. We did has one of our best outings into 350z program at WG so I'm hopeful. We have to get through Road America first.... and that should be interesting. Still trying to sort out some mapping stuff w the Bosch so maybe pick up a little. We now have an excellent starting point on the chassis /suspension ... So this will be te first time we will have an idea when we unload the car. Dwnshift |
Good luck to you.

Watch our suspension parts in action today at noon EST on Speed channel.
;) |
I'll be looking at the podium.
|
Going to Set DVR NOW..
|
Good race!
What happened that the Z qualified first but dropped back several places as soon as the race started? |
Any updates? I'm really interested in the front arms.
|
Sorry.... After the incident at Watkins Glenn... The car is back on the frame rack and we are once again in a full court press to get t ready for race at Indy motor speedway.
Hopefully getting the ad back early this week situation we have a chance to shake it down before our one day super compressed event. After we get through Indy we have over a month till Laguna Seca. I maaaaaaaaay be able to get something going and have some arms in August. Dwnshift |
I hope so. I talked to SPL and there feeding the same BS story they have been for a year. I called him out on it and he was speechless. So I pray you guys come threw unlike all others.

Yeah the guy @ SPL is a really nice guy, but he has a really sweet 350Z, not a 370. So he doesn't seem to be rushed to get all of the parts out. Good luck @ Indy Dwnshift! |
He's defiantly nice. You just can't run that same story. He explained its not cheap to start a production. And in this economy it's hard to fork the cost up front and wait to make money in the long run. I assured him that there is a market for them here. Course there's a lot of people who just talk and when the time comes they don't have the money.
|
I can say this high quality products and starting production isn't cheap.
There are def going to be a lot cheaper alternative to the arms that we produce ... .. but.....you get what you bargain for with some things. The Doran arms are way lighter than the 350evo and the same quality. I have been through this before when I worked and raced with the 350EVO products and we raced the 350z in Grand Am cup. I have a picture of our right front upper control arm from the crash ... But I can't publish the pix from my iPod on this forum.... Or don't know the correct way to do so. I can assure you that our control arms are supierior quality to anything else on the market |
How is the frame work going? To soon to tell?
|
Prob getting her back Tuesdayish
|
I was excited to see the car status on another post...I sure hope you guys have a good weekend at Indy.
P.S. I Sent a PM regarding some of Doran's suspension components...hopefully you can help a brother out WHEN you guys have a moment to catch a breath. GOOD LUCK!!!! ///MSH |
Front upper control arm material has been ordered for our first production run.
We are having the main arm block pieces rough water jet cut to try and reduce the amount of waste material. Final pricing is not set at this time. We realize that these arms are not what everyone on this forum is looking for...but they are designed machined and built to very high quality specs with proper part used in an endurance motorsports eviroment. Unfortunately the Continental tire series has become known as a full contact sport..... But these arms have been fully tested and proven. If anyone has seen our car in person... You know exactly what type of attention to detail we bring to the table .... and our products reflect that as well. |
They sounds costly.
