New GT-Spec Rear Brace!

I got my hands on a new GT-Spec rear brace a few days ago and I finally had time to install it last night.

Here is a pic of it installed, but I haven't had the time to mod my panels. I'm going to be doing that tomorrow, along with a full DIY... stay tuned!

HERE IS A LINK TO THE DIY!

Sorry, the link isn't finished yet... I should have everything done by tomorrow.

I should be able to unbolt the brace if I ever need to put anything back there.

from the looks of the picture, for people that are tall/big that recline all the way back, can the bar hit your face?

I had concerns as well, but no.. The seat in that picture is pushed back far for me to get in there and install it. In my driving position my head isn't close to it at all.

thanks looks good! Do you know if the rear strut can be installed/bought without the piece going to the seat belts?

TypeOne 02-08-2012 04:52 PM

I'm not sure if it sold without those pieces, but yes, you can install the strut brace without attaching the other bars.

Yes, I have been to both the drag strip and road course circuits. Not as many as I would have liked too, but since I now have an oil cooler, I'll be doing more track days this year than last.
