OP I have the 15mm spacers all around with no issues at all. I went with the H&R DRS for safety reasons.

I always recommend H&R spacers above other brands simply because I've seen other brands have issues from machining errors. Whatever spacers you buy, just make sure they've got hubcentric rings and are from a reputable company. If you follow those rules, you'll be problem free. Use bolt-ons for the front unless you're going more than 20mm or you want to shorten your studs.

regarding spacers ive done both stud replacement type and bolt-on types over the years. never had an issue with either type. been only using bolt-ons these days since it's so much more convenient.

ive tried kics, eibach, h&r, and even ichiba's. they have been all good.

Any rubbing with the 20mm up front?

Yeah, turning radius is affected... You will rub, its to be expected since you're taking away 20mm from the turn

OK thanks. That's a no-go with me, so I'll have to stick to the 15mm Fronts...

Its an easy fix though.

bushman66 01-24-2012 09:10 AM

Yeah...don't really want to roll the fenders. I used to do things like that back in the day. Now, I'd rather just forgo the extra 5mm...LOL

No need to roll. I'm not rolled

vividracing 01-24-2012 11:12 AM

A little bit of negative camber or dropping to the next smaller tire size would probably cure any rubbing. I gotta ask though... Why are so many people afraid to roll their fenders?

From horror stories of guys using baseball bats and heat guns. Lol

I don't need to roll, but if I did know using a roller isn't hard and safe.

20/25 with H&R and NO rubbing in the front at all with close to OE camber and running 265's in front.

Unique_Z 02-19-2012 04:21 AM

^^ same stup as mine, 265/35 upfront and 285/35 rears. 20/25 combo and dropped on H&R springs. never have i had rubbing issue

ZForce 02-19-2012 09:35 AM

The stance with 25mm and 285/35 in the rear is perfect. Anything less just looks like....well, like nothing is happening. I am constantly complimented.

Thanks for the compliment bro :tiphat: yup it's RE11, and actually i installed an Evo-R CF diffuser, it looks better than a blacked out valence imo

RE11 are very sticky, only gonna see 12k mi thou, probably look at SO4's for next set. Will look into evo-r cf valance, thanks bro!

Just to throw it out there... I have the Z1 spacers and I get some slight extra tracking of the road. I wouldn't say it is "wrong" because I don't think there is any way a different design could impact the tracking but it is there... it isn't always noticable though and is never an issue.

Does H&R make a 7mm DRS spacer for the Z?
