Sorry no gold option, the gold brembos were offered from the OEM division of BREMBO, these babies are from the motorsport division. They are completely separate.

First one to order will get a really good discount. I want pics LOL . We wanted to use these but we opted to go with the bigger race setup which is now availble from Brembo too. 6 pot 15 inch floating rotors for the front and 4 pot 13.8 inch floating rotors for the rear

More brembo pics compared with akebono sport

Big size difference, the width is the same as the Akebono, the brembo is just longer with 2 extra pistons:tup: There shouldn't be any clearance issue with OEM 19 STOCK RAYS or any aftermarket wheels fitted for the Sport Akebono front brakes.

Any chance you could let us know the weight difference between the brembo brakes and rotors vs. the sport package brakes/rotors?

I'm very interested - I haven't bought my Z yet, and this is the one thing that could lean me toward a base vs. a Sport. I'd have to do the wheels too, but at least I wouldn't have the f_ed up offset on the Sport wheels...

EDIT - just realized that this package is designed for the Sport package. Would it work with a non-sport Z?

I didn't get a chance to weigh the brembo in comparison to the akebono calipers since we shipped out the brembo's friday.

If your are willing to upgrade your rotors too which is now available from stoptech, you can use the brembo calipers also. Only problem is the wheels. I don't think it would work but we will check next time when someone with a non sport z like articreaver to test his wheels on our Z:tup:

JoeyD 04-13-2009 09:51 AM

Lou, I'm not sure about the brembo calipers but I did a test fitments of several different templates on my stock 18's. The Akebono don't clear, the AP racing 14.25 setup barely clears (it may hit the spokes but not the lip) and their 13in setup obviously clears. Point being that the Brembo caliper may clear (it was only the last MM of the Akebono that hit the lip in my measurements.

Thanks - I think I'm back to just going for the Sport package. I would like to know the weight difference on the Brembos if/when you get a chance. Hopefully they're not much more than the akebonos...

Has anyone purchased these for their Z? I'd love to seem them installed!

CBRich 06-10-2009 08:13 PM

Beautiful brakes. I'd love to see some stopping distance and endurance tests with these. You sport guys feel free to post up your used Akebono brakes for sale when you install these.

Dee@Amplified 07-23-2009 08:27 PM

Still up for grabs, especially worth it for crazy neck bending brake performance!

shabarivas 07-23-2009 08:37 PM

DROOOLLLLL pm me a price so i can hate how much i cant afford it :p

LOU@AMPLIFIED 11-11-2009 02:01 AM

Mike absolutely loves these calipers more than the AKEBONO.

We recently installed the caliper on my G37 and i was amazed, aside from the very pleasing look, they work amazing. I'm finding myself stopping too soon at stop lights. I have to get use to them since they stop my G which is heavier than the Z a whole lot sooner.

Here's a picture of my G

Yes, I have them and love them. I have a wholesale source through my business, which is how I purchased mine, but I can highly recommend buying them from Lou as his price and service is tops! You can see pics in my gallery thread

motoextreme 11-26-2009 01:34 AM

Please PM me a price with the drilled rotors and red brembo's please. I have a 09 Nismo so please let me know if there are any fitment issues. I know I should know this but do Brembo's have the same brakes as the rest of the 370's?

Thanks in advance.
