Default Remove decal from Akebono Infinity branded calipers...

this is a bit of a ridiculous question, but has anyone ever scratched off the inifinity decal off the akebono calipers? i'm planning on upgrading to the silver infinity branded akebonos from base, but want to replace the default decal.

can i scratch off the infinity decal without totally messing up the paint?

not likely, but maybe ask this over myg37 forum? it doesn't seem like you can just "scratch" off without messing up the original paint, most people just repaint the whole caliper.

I think they are painted on. Better to paint them in different color and attach the decal of your choice.

no, you can't. what I have done on the gray nissan ones when I was temporarily using a set was put the orange logo I wanted on black vinyl and put it over the stock logo. You could do the same with silver vinyl and whatever logo you want. just make the new logo larger than stock, and the silver base vinyl no bigger than needed to contain the entire new logo. I could probably make you a set for $25
