looks interesting...

I guess i should chime in since i have the production spec swift springs on my car...

the ride:
It's softer than stock springs over road imperfections and bumps, but there is less leaning in cornering. I know it sounds like an oxymoron, but you would have to drive on it to understand. The springs are softer for regular driving, but stiffens up for cornering.

the drop:
front - 1.2 inches
rear - 1.0 inch
Originally, the springs were thought to be 1.0 inches all around, but after measuring, it was 1.2 inches in the front and 1.0 inches in the rear. I think it's a good drop since there is still some wheel gap but I don't know what others are willing to live with. I'm not a fan of driving slammed cars, so this is perfect for me.

overall:
I've had the springs for about a month now, and the ride is the same as the day it was installed and the ride height hasn't changed either. I was lucky enough to chat in length with the owner of Swift Springs USA, and I'm very impressed with their product technology. The Swift Springs are cold wound which means that they will not sag, or lose it's original form, hence the lack of sag over time. We even tested other springs on a spring compressor to see how most springs out there that are hot wound would sag, and not spring back to the original height. I could see why Swift Springs are more expensive now.

Great to hear, thanks for the update!

Did your car require a camber kit to get the camber/toe within acceptable specs? If so, Front, Rear or both?

So its the basically almost the same drop as the H&R springs, very nice !

How would you compare these with the H&Rs, are they stiffer ?

Definitely subscribed, most interested in compatibility with stock struts

I have to get the camber kits for both front and rear if I want to be completely within specs, but I don't mind a little negative camber in the rear and the front. I believe the rear is about -2.1 and the front is -1.4 I'll double check later

I can't comment on the H&R's but from what I hear, the H&R are stiffer than the stock springs on regular basis. Swift Springs are a much softer ride over little bumps and road imperfections.

Swift tells me that they are "extremely excited about the springs being released for the 370Z" and that they should release "mid next month".

That looks aweful, like you have a ton of bricks in the trunk with stock springs. Why is the front so high?

fuct 08-10-2010 04:17 PM

^^^yeah what gives??

WarmAndSCSI 08-10-2010 04:19 PM

Could be the soft ground. Doesn't show much unless he has a picture on flat, hard, level ground.

Also, I only see a little bit of front gap - the offsets and shadows are misleading.

tjlazer 08-10-2010 05:32 PM

Well thats the thing I dont like. Some springs will lower the rear too much to make the car look level and you dont want that. You want to keep the rear higher a little bit for hauling bricks, or fat chics. LOL j/k

takeshima 08-10-2010 06:07 PM

dude wat kind of picture is that. You have to have another picture.

...as well as the angle of the shot and the distortion of the lens. If you look at the wheels, you can see that the front to rear looks out of perportion in that particular shot.
