Brake bleed using Z1 scan tool

I've got some air in my brake system I can't seem to bleed out using the traditional methods I've used successfully for years. I've read the service manual and it really only covers bleeding the conventional way. I was wondering if anyone has had success using the Z1 scan tool to bleed the antiskid system. I've haven't had any luck.
And I'm having a hard time with local shops since they lamely don't want to work on a modified car.

Did you put new calipers on? If so, make sure the bleed screws are at the top of the caliper. If not, they are on the wrong side. Switch them.

Haha, no, didn't replace the calipers. Funny though, I had a nice track 240SX and I discovered previous owner had the rear (Z32) calipers installed on wrong sides. Swapped them at the track, bled 'em, good to go.

Bleed the master cylinder and then move out to the wheels. If you lack pressure, you have a bad master cylinder. Bleeding the brakes is the same process as always.

Quick and dirty how to bleed the master cylinder? Heard that before, but not familiar.

Same way you bleed the calipers, you just do it at the master cylinder. Pump brakes 3 time and hold pedal to down. Loosen brake line and then tighten. Do the front first, then the rear. Easy Peasy.

If it’s stuck in the abs module then the best way to get it out is start activating the abs system after a system bleed. Find a parking lot and start slamming the brakes forwards to activate the front and then the key I’ve always found is to do it in reverse so the rear solenoids will activate and purge the rear.

Note that the service manual states to disconnect the ABS Actuator and battery. Bleed starting from the rear right, then front left, rear left and finally front right.
I had issues with getting air out a couple of years ago. Last time I bled them, I used cheap fluid, and a lot of it to ensure there was no trapped air, before adding Motul.

I read that too - seems counter-intuitive since I'm trying to use the scan-tool to actuate the ABS.

Funny though, I had a nice track 240SX and I discovered previous owner had the rear (Z32) calipers installed on wrong sides. Swapped them at the track, bled 'em, good to go.
