If someone on here has an OEM one laying around their garage, feel free to take some specs from it so I can compare. Weight, piston diameter, length, etc.

You can even get the remanufactured calipers from Napa... I wonder if people think those are fake too. Notice that the "Akibono" on the caliper is raised and not stamped. You need to have your own cast to fake this. That's a lot of work for a knockoff.

To be 100% transparent, the set I received do not have Akenbono markings.

The front caliper has the following raised markings: "4502", "L" and "R".

The rear caliper has the following raised markings: "4101", "L" and "R".https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7da5e181ae.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9aa808defa.jpg

Those look like power stop part numbers

They do remanufactured OEM parts for many vehicles

Spartan 1771 02-24-2019 10:47 AM

Well they did come with Power Stop pads, so that would make sense.

dts3 02-24-2019 11:28 AM

The part number for the caliper are legit. Here is a pic of mine. I know they are not remanufactured because they came to me greasy as **** with the original infinity coating and used pads still in them
:shakes head:

Part numbers are the same though.

So how does the braking feel and what does it look like on your Z?:pics:

I just got them yesterday. I need rotors and additional hardware before I can install them.

dts3 02-24-2019 12:04 PM

I haven't put them on yet lol. I pulled them out of the closet just now to take that pic

I haven't purchased rotors yet. You have a better recommendation?

dts3 02-24-2019 02:00 PM

I'm getting my pads and rotors from Rock Auto

What's so special about these? I'm not big on cross drilled rotors. They have a tendency to crack over time.

I'm big on the Z1 rotors because they have excellent reviews and are significantly lighter. 10lbs lighter each in the front and 5lbs each in the back. That's a 30lbs reduction in unsprung rotational weight.

And just to be clear, I thoroughly research all of my modifications. Hence how I found this deal on calipers.

Op I ordered these https://www.ebay.com/itm/StopTech-Fr...gAAOSwUsJYV8cN
