My Track based suspension plans for next year.

For this year now
JRZ RS PRO 3 SPORT
Hotchkiss F&R Sway Bar
SPL TITANIUM Rear Toe Arms
SPL PRO Front Endlinks
SPL PRO Rear Swaybar Endlinks
SPL Eccentric Lock Out Kit
SPL TI Rear Traction Arms
SPL PRO Front Upper Caster Arms
SPL FKS Front Lower Arm Bushings
SPL TI Rear Camber Arms
SPL FKS Rear Knuckle Monoball Bushing Set
SPL PRO Solid Subframe Bushings

SPL stuff is pricey.

cv129 10-04-2017 01:47 PM

Orgasmic!

OptionZero 10-04-2017 02:14 PM

Ohlins + entire SPL catalog + hotckis is . . . just about the best you can do, really

Hotrodz 10-04-2017 03:09 PM

Spot on with your setup as it matches my spl parts list. I am running a Hotchkis front bar and no rear sway bar. That will depend on your driving style and wheel setup. I am on Fortune Auto 500 coils and my spring rates are 13k front ans 11k rear.

Don't forget about the SPC rear toe bolts, you will need these to correct toe after you install the SPL Rear Camber Arms and lower your car. SPL even lists them on their website.

Or are the rear Ohlins true coil-overs or is the spring separate from the shock like OEM? If it is a true coil-over you can eliminate the rear mid-link spring perch with the SPL rear toe arms.

OptionZero 10-04-2017 04:16 PM

He has the SPL lockout kit which means toe should be adjusted through the SPL toe arm, not any toe bolts, OR through the SPL mid-links depending on what sort of spring set up (OEM v true)

Adjustable Rear Toe Arms for the Nissan 370Z and Infiniti G37 | SPL Parts
or
Rear Adjustable Toe Midlinks for the 370Z and G37 | SPL Parts

Rusty 10-04-2017 11:12 PM

You threw the book at it. :rofl2: The Ohlins are :yum: Where are you getting the Ohlins from?

flyfish 10-05-2017 10:15 PM

The SPL lockout kits are to replace the eccentric bolts for camber (when you use the camber arms) and toe (when you replace the OEM mid links with one of the items you listed below). Don't see either of these on the list of parts.

Probably bc he hasnt decided what spring setup for his coilovers

NorthStyle 10-06-2017 11:41 AM

The traction arms and toe arms are different pieces.

Scott@FontanaNissan 10-06-2017 12:49 PM

Lemme know when you're ready to purchase...i know a guy!!! <-----

Zat_Zuma 10-06-2017 12:53 PM

I have most of the SPL parts you want, either new or used.

Lets make a deal?

Lt8Che 10-12-2017 01:12 PM

Solid list. I'm going to be doing some of the same setup. Trying to make my G a little more responsive.

Ohlins TTX36 will be from PSI, my car will be the test car for the first set. Ohlins DFV is my current setup, and it's from Ohlins Japan, the same kit from Nismo RC but with street drivable valving and springs. :happydance:

ED's Dream 11-07-2017 05:45 AM

Any updates on the ttx36?

2011 Nismo#91 11-07-2017 01:10 PM

Well my update is that I am likely not going with it, as I was told & agree it would be too much time and effort to customize that setup unless I was really going to be racing.

My options are as follows:
MOTON: Clubsport 2-Way M 502 025
MCS: 2-Way Remote
JRZ Sport RS1
JRZ Sport RS Pro
I am leaning towards MCS. I wish i could get the JRZ 2way but out of my price point for now (MSRP 7,600).

I am going to be much more focused on this since my last track weekend for the year was last weekend and I won't have anything else to worry about besides the usual holiday stuff.

I was looking at the JRZ too. But that price.

cv129 11-07-2017 05:49 PM

Not sure I would consider RS1 to be in same league as the other double adjustables on this list, since it doesn't allow independent compression and rebound adjustment.

Also I think JRZ is running discount on their Pro line and above, maybe price is cheaper at the moment?

echoshotz 11-07-2017 06:04 PM

MCS is my plan of action when I go to update my suspension for the track

ValidusVentus 11-11-2017 02:14 PM

subd.

MaysEffect 11-12-2017 02:21 PM

What tires are you going to be using?

https://www.anzesuspension.com/ through Tachterion Driver Development | Making you faster one lap at a time!

Was a pretty good price.

BGTV8 01-31-2018 03:31 AM

Can I suggest MCA shocks ...

www.mcasuspension.com either reds or golds.

These guys have World Time Attack in Sydney a couple of times in the last few years and have a well-deserved reputation in circuit racing at National and State level down under.

I have Penske double adjustable on my race car and recently tried a set of these and they are equal or better and a tad cheaper

Penske offers several different 2-way adjustable shocks. Kind of hard to narrow down your comparison without properly identifying the entire setup like for like.

cv129 01-31-2018 12:55 PM

Are MCA's serviceable in US or have to ship back to Australia?

BGTV8 01-31-2018 01:55 PM

Ship back here as far as I know, but I have a local motorsport shock specialist who has serviced my Penskes locally so I am guessing that any competent shock technician can service them. Key would be carrying spares.

MCA have a stellar reputation here

I looked at MCA but the ability to have my dampers serviced stateside is pretty important for turnaround and communication. They do seem like they make an excellent product. I like the stealth option lol.

They are 100 percent serviceable by companies in US. Probably not warranted services though.

Check with Performance shock Inc or Vorshlag racing.

See they dropped the whole sub frame. Did they leave the brake calipers hanging? It's hard to see if they did or not.

ED's Dream 03-01-2018 03:38 PM

Beautiful.
you got the jrz pro sport?

2011 Nismo#91 03-01-2018 04:01 PM

It looks like they removed it Rusty, I'm not at the shop but they are sending me pics as they go so I can share them here.

ED's, yes they are.
