305 rear tire camber?

After doing tons of research I'm planning on new wheels and tires and have decided to go with 19x9.5 +20 with 265/35/19 tires on the front and 19x11 +18 with 305/30/19 on the rear. I've seen several cars with this setup and it looks killer. I do not plan on lowering the car because I have already had encounters with dips in the roads at stock height.

With that wide of a rear tire should I also change the camber setting to get a little flatter stance to reduce inside tire wear?

If so, will the stock suspension allow enough adjustment range or will I also need rear camber arms?

Thanks for your opinion. Great forum!

not sure how the offset will change it but on my car with stock sport rays and stock suspension i run 305's without change to alignment. that alone took out probably 75% or more of the awful inside tire wear that i saw on my 275 tires.

My camber is -1.75 with the 345's. you could do -1.25 to -1.5 and be fine.

DEpointfive0 02-19-2016 10:02 PM

You could do 0 camber and be fine, you ideally want to be around .5-1.5

I'm at 0, I love it

Fantastic, have you seen how much the 370Z squats while on the power?

DEpointfive0 02-22-2016 09:37 PM

And truthfully I'm at -.5

That is stock suspension/alignment and 275 rears. Need a new pic with the 305s and see the difference.

305 will make it worse, lol

I think the car handles just fine with my 7.5 degrees of caster and close to no rear camber, lol

Why not 275's up front?

personally i went 265/305 for the matching F and R diameters.

if you get too far apart in diamters you can possibly have the traction control light come on due to the sizes being too far off (different speeds) the car thinks they're spinning.

I guess for the record and others who find this thread, I haven't encountered that yet. About 3k miles since I went with 275/35 F and 305/30 R (Potenza S-04). I went on the recommendations I saw around the forum as being a good choice.

oh yea i agree with those sizes you shouldnt have any issues. i believe those are 26.6" in the front and depending on which 305's S-04's you got they are 26" and 26.3"

i was making a point for future reference that others should keep it in mind when swaping sizes away from oem. also brand to brand sometimes run slightly different widths even though they are the same at 305 or whatever you choose.

i just know the 265/35/19 and 305/30/19 RE-11s i run are 26.3" diameter all four corners.
