Adjustable camber arms + stock holes + stock toe bolts = spec toe and camber numbers with Swifts. If you still want to run SPC toe bolts I have a 2nd set you can have for nada. I think it was defective or something. The other one is in the right side and it held fine according to him. And these guys are Anal about the work they do. I will be back. 104 |
Good idea...

I figure anyone not 'above the board' might have just let me drive away the way it was. He wasn't happy and went about resolving it. In the end I asked him it he had added something to the bill for doing that, since fair is fair in my books. He said he added $10. I was happy with that. FYI....I stood a few feet from the lift the whole time asking how all their equipment worked. I also have a really good idea of what's going on under there now since Merv and I installed the Swifts, then I went back in last weekend to do the hole mod and toe bolt install and again one night this past week. I understood every step they took. 104 |
So many conflicting stories in this subject. There was no way my toe was getting back in stock bolts and swift springs. I elongated holes, used SPC bolts... Toe in check now, and I have piece of mind.

You did adjustable camber arms as well, and couldn't get the toe back with the stockers? Or, you were not worried about camber at all and couldn't get the toe into spec without using the SPC toe bolts? 104 |

In response to your situation.....I can tell you that RIGHT NOW there is a stock Nissan toe bolt in the driver's side spring bucket of my Z and toe is within spec. Everybody seems to get different results so I can't dispute what you're saying. So.....I bought all the parts that my research told me would definitively get my toe and camber into spec when installing Swifts. It appears maybe I lucked out a bit when the aftermarket toe bolt failed and the stock one resolved the issue. The big numbers of questions I've received in E-mails and PMs regarding this topic tells me I'm not the only person who found (finds) the information ambiguous. Yes, the thread count is many, and the post number huge, but overall the information isn't conclusive. I am still getting E-mails and Pms asking for my input when it comes to what other Z owners ought to buy. I don't claim to be an expert by any means, but I do know what I bought in addition to the Swifts to get where I'm at. 104 |
