It turns out it wasn't a copy of the Nismo because it existed before the 370z nismo. It looks like they just tweaked the design from their older kit from the 350z to fit on our platform. One might say Nismo actually copied Ings +1.

Although it is an updated version of "their" kit, it's still pretty much a copy of the Nismo kit regardless. Since that kit looks exactly like the 350Z nismo kit as well.
