Is there any way to increase the HID light output for the 370Z (upgrade to 55W ballast??)
|
55 watt ballasts would do it. I have no clue on how to do that on the 370Z though.
|
I could be wrong, but from what I've read and seen so far, it looks pretty much plug and play. Unplug 35w ballasts, tie/screw down 55w ballasts, plug wires in, good to go.

in for 5k!

Sounds easy to upgrade, but I'm not going to guinea pig it and risk frying something. Need someone rich to try it! :)
|
I run 55 watt lows in my Vette. It didn't come with HIDs so it was simple. The light output is around 35-40% more than 35 watt kits. You guys might try one of the general sections. I'm sure someone has done it.
Anyways all orders from yesterday are shipping today :) |
I found these but I am not sure what the retrofit kit is exactly since the Z's come with HID already, maybe its a 55w upgrade?

2011s have a different ballast and aftermarket bulbs don't work. With the ones I tried I had to turn the lights on/off/ on/off about three times before they remained on. Have you guys tested your bulbs in 2011+ Zs? If so and if they did work then I would be interested on a set.
