Hey kevin, have you looked into SMD panel leds for map lights? Take a look:

SMD panel LED - License plate, Map lights and trunk light (from Yourledshop)

In my opinion, they are much much more reliable and have better output.

I'm willing to try a set if I can get them in red for the interior and rear cargo area. This kind of defeats the purpose of this thread's product!

Cliff, what are your thoughts? If you replace the one dome bulb for me, I'd buy another set of panel LEDs from you. Let me know!
