Actually I think plastic completely blocks UV. I don't know what our covers are made of but it's some plastic or polymer and I think there is a very good chance it will stop UV. My main concern is heat in there, but to go on headlights that stuff had to have pretty good heat tolerance. Everyone is poo pooing this idea, but I'm thinking its so crazy it just might work! (Or maybe my lamps will burst onto flames or something, we'll see) |
I think the bigger concern is that it just might look so cra*py that I'll have to end up buying new headlights.
I'm talking to the guys at ONEighty to see if they want to take this on. They are skeptical too. |
So now that the 2013 has those LED DRLs, can these be wired into that or are they still wired up to the parking light switch?
|
Still hoping for an answer to this question from the 180 guys... Thanks!

Are the landing strip LED's pointed up or forward?

I like the idea of the parking light activation. I just dont want to have to have the rear parking lights on, in order to have the LEDs on. The OEM switch for the center console sounds like my best choice. Thanks for the speedy reply. |

Blinking landing strip
Just read (skimmed through) this whole thread. Was wondering if the landing strip LEd's could be made to blink on and off from top to bottom (bottom to top) while the turn signal is on. Think Knight Rider's Kit with the flashing light up front. That would be a sick mod!
